Acquamarina was a very clean and comfortable property in a very good location. Just around the corner from the Train Station at Monterosso. There is no traditional check in desk, however we were met at the Station by Corrado who helped with luggage. Check in/check out is a very informal process in the room !! Its very close to the... Online photos are puffed to make this look like a hotel, with new rooms. Arriving at 9 pm,we were "upgraded" to a not too new studio apartment that was not worth the 130 Euros per night. It is NOT a hotel, there is no internet access, nor is there a large screen TV. On a positive note, the apartment we... More

We stayed in Monterosso for 4 days and Aquamarina was a very nice stay. Great location, exceptionally clean and convenient. I rated 4/5 for 2 reasons. The check-in process is strange, you have to know exactly when you are going to be arriving ahead of time so that the owner can be there to let you in. That was difficult... More

My wife and I stayed in Monterosso for two days in late September. Having read a couple reviews that were somewhat negative, I was apprehensive about what I would find, but we were pleasantly surprised and completely satisfied with all aspects of this accommodation. Gianna met us very promptly at the train station as promised, and escorted us to our... More

We decided to take a last minute trip to Monterossa during our recent 2 week vacation in Italy. We sent emails to several businesses and Corrado responded quickly and efficiently. We ( 2 couples) stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment in the center of the historic district for 2 nights. Corrado met us in town at the assigned time and... More

We recently spent 4 days in Monterosso staying at the Aquamarina. Wei were very happy with the room which was quiet, clean and modern. Location was great. Corrado met us at the station and showed us to the apartment which is a 5 minute walk. Would definitely stay there again.

We stayed in the two bedroom suite for three nights to walk the Cinque terre. The accommodation has no view but is clean and contemporary, very close to the beach, shops and station. It was good being met at the station by Corrado.

We stayed in a "suite" (opposed to room). The suite was clean and roomy (spacious for Italian standards). Comfortable bed. Outdoor terrace had distant views of the ocean. Great location (1-2 min walk from town and beaches). Cable TV. No internet. Washing machine. Quiet. We loved it.

We were a group of 4 who stayed in an apartment suite in Acquamarina. Corrado, the owner, picked us up from the train station and accompanied us to the apartment, which is only a few meters away. The apartment is clean, spacious and quiet when the windows are closed. It is well equipped with toilet and kitchen facilities and very... More

I stayed recently at Acquamarina Apartments in Monterosso with my husband and another couple. We asked Corrado for and were put into the 2 bedroom apartment with kitchen. It was modern and comfortable and immaculately clean. Very central, close to the station, supermarket, restaurants and beach. This was my second stay at Acquamarina Apartments, I was there 2 years ago... More

“The town is built on a hill. Make sure you are not right by the railway station. Monterosso is a good location if you are arriving from the Pisa direction and continuing on to Florence (or vice versa). Unless you want to do your own cooking, look for a real hotel with real hotel rooms.”
