Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We booked Villa Accini well in advance of our trip to Europe from Australia and received a confirmation. When we arrived, after a very long trip, the property was locked up and surrounded by scaffolding. After attempting to contact the property with no effect, I was contacted by a purported employee via WhatsApp advising that the property was closed, and had been so since November. It was implied that this was my fault - that such experiences should be expected when booking in the off season. I have travelled all over the world and very much understand the nature of an ‘off season’. However, when a hotel accepts a booking, including full payment, it is reasonable to conclude that accommodation is available. I had to rapidly find alternative accommodation for my family late in the evening. I am still waiting for my refund Villa Accini. A good indication of how they treat customers I suggest. Find somewhere else in beautiful Cinque Terre.

Went for two nights. We arrive late at night to discover that this hotel is in a hill and they do not have any porter to help you with the lugagge! It was such a srugle to bring all of our lugagge up there. We got an ugly dirty room in the first floor. The bathroom floor and tile walls have mildew every where. Scary to go in the shower because ofbthebfungus mildew. The walls where filty dirty, the matress and pillows where hard as a rock!, Ugly furniture as well. The breakfast was the worst! They had cut off fruits and little flys all over. We went to italy for 16 days and this 2 days were the worst! The other hotels were suoer clean and nice. No employes anywhere only at the so call front desk until 8 pm. After that you are on your own!

Great Italian Villa. Small and quiet. Just what we wanted authentic accommodation. Staff are great and rooms are clean and comfortable. We got the only room with a massive terrace , so good. They even have a resident rabbit. We loved our stay.

My family stayed at Villa Accini for 5 days in July 2023. We loved the family feel of the Villa. Breakfast on the patio every morning taking in the view and watching Monterosso wake up was a delight. The Villa was up away from the crowds and so had a more quiet and laid back feel than beach-front hotels. The grounds were beautiful and full of plants, birds, and the sound of summer cicadas. The only challenging part was finding the front gate, and getting luggage up the driveway, but the staff will help you if you ask. Especially if you have any physical disabilities or find walking uphill challenging, call or email ahead to make arrangements for getting up the driveway. All of the staff was generous and helpful, offering advice and making recommendations. We decided to ship our luggage ahead of us to Florence and the staff kindly let us leave our bags one extra day. Rooms were clean and well kept. If you go, watch for the family bunny, Neve, hopping around the yard. I didn't want to leave and would visit again and again.

The villa was wonderful. We really liked the location as it was away from the busy shops and restaurants of Monterosso. It was very close to the train station and to the beach. The staff at the villa were very kind and helpful. The breakfast was wonderful. It was not included in the price of the hotel but very reasonable at 10 Euros.

If you wanna stay in Monterosso that’s a good hotel because it’s 5min walks from the very nice beaches, it has a parking space (trust me this is important in cinque terre). The place is clean, it includes a decent breakfast. It’s quiet beside for the train station but I guess that you’d ear it from anywhere in Monterosso anyhow. Good bang for the buck!

We didn't actually stay at the Villa Accini, but we have to give kudos to Cristiana at the reception desk who helped us out of a double booking mess. Thanks to her our stay in Cinque Terre was eased. We will never forget her true kindness.

My girlfriend and I stayed in the Acqui di Mare part of Villa Accini. It is directly opposite from Villa Accini itself. The location is ideal for those wanting to explore Cinque Terre, as it is very close to Monterosso station. There are also many restaurants nearby, as well as a supermarket just down the road. The room was very good for the both of us. It was very clean, no damp in the bathroom, very secure, with a shared balcony. The only downside was that the shower door did not close properly, however it did not affect our stay. Overall, we would highly recommend this place for those looking to explore Cinque Terre on a smaller budget.
