I have to say that we were delighted with the view, but thought that the apartment, although it had a great view was poorly equipped. I know that we have had our own self catering apartment at home that we have rented out, and we were perhaps making comparisons with our own, but I would have thought that Franca and...

My wife and I saw a brief write-up of this place in Rick Steves' book and made a reservation by email with the owners. We stayed in the top floor apartment for 3 nights and can't say enough about this absolute gem and its kind owners. The apartment has a kitchen (well-stocked with dishes, pots, etc.), nice bathroom and bedroom....

Our reservation was totally made in english, no problems at all. When we arrived there, I asked the lady "how with the key tomorrow when we leave?". She answered: " in the evening is okay for me" We were happy cause in the evening means we have a whole day tomorrow to do some things. So we arrived back at...

I highly recommend this B&B. It's super nice with a beautiful bathroom...unusual for Europe! Manarola is much more quiet with very little nightlife. So, if you're looking for that then I recommend staying in Vernazza or Monterrosso. However, this hotel was super affordable and much more than I expected. The town and the view from the balcony was amazing. I...

Casa Capellini, run by Franca and Gianni (who we didn't see), was the 2nd from last house at the top of Manarola. Manarola itself is quiet and less touristy then Monterosso or Vernazza and up at the top of town we only ever saw a curious couple or two wander by. The neverending climb from the train station was difficult,...

Stayed two nights. Could have stayed more. Private balcony, killer scenery. Manarola is a quiet town, the the rooms are at the top of a steep hill, but the view was worth the walk back to the room each evening. Very clean rooms, very charming. The hiking and scenery is the thing to do. No breakfast, but a short walk...

This was our second stay at Casa Capellini. All the reviews are true, for the price you can't beat the room and view. However, when we arrived, they had lost the record of our reservation, and we were lucky to get a room. She wanted the print out of the email of the reservation, but since we didn't have a...

With the U.S. dollar being weak, I was very happy to find such a reasonably-priced place to stay, but I had no idea it would be so nice! Franca is very friendly and kind, and though her English is limited, she always checked to make sure things were Ok. I spent 3 days in one of the third floor rooms...

Okay, let me honest with you. If my fiancee wrote this review you would be getting a slightly more postive review -- but I'll try to be fair and balanced. The view from this hotel was outstanding. I can not say enough about how wonder it was to sit on the balcony and take in the sights. The room was...

Stay in the top, terrace floor and you'll never forget it. We spent a week there and couldn't get enough of the view from the room. And Manarola was perfect for us...a little sleepy village (except for the daily tour bus), but compared with the other towns, it was quaint. The inside of place was adequate...we cooked our own dinners...
