Extremely friendly staff at the reception - speaking both Italian and English. The rooms are pretty, clean and spacious with new bathroom. Located just off the main square (about 10 min away from the train and bus station) offering local pubs and restaurant. Thank you for looking after us so well!

We spent a week in Istria then decided to have one night in Trieste before flying home. We picked the Centrale for its location and weren't disappointed. We were driving and managed to park the car on a meter just 2 blocks from the hotel - you pay 8am - 8pm and we arrived at 4pm so were able to...

Although it is a bit of a walk from the train station, we made it with little trouble, and were delighted to find it in a semi-pedestrian area quite close to many major attractions and a great starting point for long walks, which is how to best visit Trieste. Save for some construction on the building next door one morning,...

we went there for sightseeing, so all we needed was bed and breakfast. it worked very well for us: great welcome, a nice room with the view to the street that goes to the sea, nice check out experience, all as it should be.

Rooms are clean and you can get decent breakfast. Located in the center of Trieste. Nearby is public parking. Good place for one or two nigths if you are not spending too much time in the room. Value for money.

We went here as a couple the weekend before a business trip, and at EUR 65 for the room for two this was a very good deal, as I wouldn't have afforded the business hotel. It was very clean altough small, and the bathroom has shower, bidet and basin en suite. Toilets are on the corridor but are impeccably clean....

I stayed here with a mate on a cheap 3 day trip around the Friuli Venezia Giulia region at the end of April 2011. When we arrived at the hotel, we missed it a couple of times, as it's labelled Centrale Pensione, rather than hotel, but after 10 minutes or so, my companion pointed it out to me and, sure...
