Very nice indeed. Comfortable rooms, friendly and helpful staff, with a very central location - easy pedestrian access to all parts of the city. If I return to Trieste, I will definitely choose this place again.
We stayed one night because it is in walking distance to opera house. Small boutique family run hotel. Excellent breakfast. The hotel has a couple of parking spots in a car park nearby. Close to main city attractions.
We have just had a lovely stay at this delightful hotel run by lovely people. Our room (Acero) was comfortable, quiet and very clean. We had a good-sized bed, welcome air-con and a generous supply of teas and coffee. Breakfast was generous, including a great range of artisanal jams and honeys to choose from, and a particularly good yoghurt. The hotel is in a quiet side street but is very well placed for all the key sites in Trieste . We would also recommend the greengrocer across the road for really good fruit. But above all, we cannot speak highly enough of the lovely people who run and work at the hotel. Everyone was very welcoming, kind and helpful. We would not choose to stay anywhere else as and when we return to the city.
What a fabulous place to stay in Trieste. Great location, lovely rooms and charming hosts who were so kind and obliging. Nothing was too much trouble for them. The rooms are so comfortable and tastefully decorated. Great place to stay so close to the centre of Triestes old town
Charming and intimate hotel in the liveliest part of Trieste. People are very friendly, relaxed and helpful, ready to share a lot of recommendations. Plenty of very good restaurants and vintage shops in this area. The building of the hotel is from XVII century. Looking forward to getting back.
Nice, romantic room, kind people just in the heart of the city. Parking could be difficult in the peak times, however it worth waiting in the queue in front of the parcheggio San Giusto, the movement in and out is quite quick.
Beautifully decorated rooms with original art on the walls. Clean , comfortable and convenient. Loved the breakfast service with a large selection of jams and honeys. Staff was very pleasant and helpful.
It couldn't have been better! Great People, friendly and helpful, beautifully furnished place, books and art all around, nice and quiet location ... we felt very welcomed, thank you! We were surrounded by beauty in many ways. Three days weren't nearly enough to scout all the nice details this cosy little hotel has to offer. So we'll have to come back!
- Long write-up alert - This review is long overdue, but not less owed to Trieste and L’Albero Nascosto... In May 2019* I spent a wonderful break with my parents and husband in Trieste and environs. (*Note: not in June 2019, as indicated due to option settings that didn't allow me to choose May). This trip was made all the more memorable by the beautiful Hotel Residence L'Albero Nascosto - so memorable, in fact, that I’m still thinking about the trip, feeling like I’ve only just been (and wishing I could revisit soon)! This boutique hotel has a 'tree' theme, reflecting its name. It boasts lovely mini-apartments with very tasteful decor (including genuinely vintage pieces of furniture) and various amenities - but no lift (elevator) unfortunately, being an old property. However, from our experience the staff would be glad to entertain requests for first-floor rooms, depending on availability. The breakfast area is a bit small, but is well-compensated by the quality of their continental breakfast, which includes wholesome items - including a wide selection of jams and honey. The hotel is a stone's throw away from the restaurant-lined promenade and town centre, the main shops and the beautiful Piazza dell'Unità. There is also a Catholic church close-by, for anyone wishing to attend Sunday Mass. A few doors down from the hotel you will find a couple of antique shops that also sell small items that you could easily pack in your suitcase, and also one selling vintage clothing (where you might even find some designer pieces). The hotel staff are very courteous - approachable and friendly in a non-invasive way. Last point: the hotel also offers parking facilities (need to check with them in advance re terms and conditions). Very important: if planning to drive over to Slovenia for the day, make sure to ask about the obligatory highway pass/toll that must be displayed on car windscreens (as per Slovenian law).…
a beautiful small unique hotel with a very personal touch, with great beds and delicious breakfast, furnished with antiques and art objects, situated in the center of Trieste. we just love coming back.
