Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Absolutely fantastic! The hotel is in a perfect location. 5 minutes to the city center, 5 minutes to the main train station. The rooms are perfectly clean. I would also like to praise the restaurant staff, especially Goca, who is always smiling and ready to help every guest. The reception is very friendly, well done to everyone!

Convenient for the station (good when you're travelling by train), for buses, the port and many of Trieste's attractions. Comfortable room without being especially spacious, on the 1st floor. Breakfast not memorable. Convenient and comfortable for a 3 night stay, friendly and helpful staff.

Rooms were small, old, and not very clean. As others have noted, the hotel was definitely in need of renovation. The rooms were also very noisy. I slept with ear plugs but could still hear people in other rooms talking, going in and out, and alarms going off in the morning. Staff were rude and not particularly helpful if you needed anything out of the ordinary (like asking for a fan to mute the noise). Breakfast was not good, mostly sweet breads and pastries. Probably the only good thing is the close location to the train station. There are plenty of better hotel options in Trieste. I won't be staying here again.

This hotel is a great choice for a short city break to Trieste. It is in a great location, just minutes walk from the central station. It is also a very easy walk into the city centre from there. The area feels very safe and there are plenty of bars and restaurants nearby. The staff in the hotel are lovely and speak good English. The breakfast is impressive and the availability of tea, coffee and pastries all day/eve in the homely breakfast room is a real bonus. My room was on the 4th floor and was spacious. The corridors could do with re-decoration but I think this process is ongoing. I hope to stay here again when I revisit Trieste. Very enjoyable stay!

This is the place I always stay when I’m in Trieste and I’m delighted to say I enjoyed the experience as much as always. It is well located and affordable and the very best thing about the place is the breakfast, located in a lovely room which looks like a small Vienna coffee house!

Great location, nice service especially at breakfast but in need of renovations… Rooms were clean but old and smelled of old smoke / dirt. They are currently renovating their dining room. They seemed to cater also to cyclists.

We had a very enjoyable stay at this hotel. The room was large and the beds were comfortable. The breakfast was substantial with plenty of choices available. During the day the breakfast room also serves as the hotel guest lounge. There are complimentary pastries, tea and a coffee machine available here for hotel guests throughout the day. It is a relaxing place to sit and refresh. The hotel staff are friendly, polite and helpful. In front of the hotel is a small shop where you can buy a 24 hour bus ticket for three euros. Many of the local sites are accessible using public transport. There are plenty of restaurants surrounding the hotel. It is a five minute walk to the the old town.

Conveniently located in front of the "tram di Opicina" station (5 minutes from the train station), this charming hotel offers an excellent service and is moderately priced. In my opinion is one of the very best options in Trieste.

Central location. Room 101 as very clean and comfortable. Breakfast had a good variety of breads, pastries, cold meat, cereals, juice, fruit and coffee. Reception was helpful. If traveling by car then suggest parking near the train station in public car park as on street parking is impossible. Lots of places to eat, drink and shop nearby. If you have time visit Grado for wonderful beach.
