I was there for a week in July/August 2016 for a wedding. The place is great with a parking free (useful in Trieste) and a shopping center nearby. The room was big and confortable, the equipment was good in the kitchen. Nadia was really nice and helpful for any informations.
Residence Bonomo is easy to locate, and offers a free parking place right across Via Ippolito Pindemonte. Our room was very clean, spacious and comfortable. It even had a kitchenette. The lady at the frontdesk was very helpful and caring. The distance to the heart of Trieste is around 15 minutes on foot but we found it very enjoyable to walk through Viale XX Settembre at night. The modest shopping mall Il Giulia just next to Residence Bonomo is also very convenient. It was a very nice stay indeed.
Our stop always when we came in Trieste Clean. Parking( put on your gps. Via ippolito pindemonte 7-9. The residence on on the right the parking is on the left uphill!! Not so hard to find !! Check your mail...Nadia will send you instructions. Dont wary if there is no one at the reception...you have the code to the main door and the keys in the door. Do not go whith the car to visit Trieste. Next to the residance is Via Giulia and centro comerciale Giulia( 9-20) .the bus station is there and there is bus 6,9 and,35 going in center. Beware! After 9pm from center take the bus A and at the finall station of bus A , the bus B .!! Is the same buses but transformed in letters!!
Pros: Comfortable, private bathroom, clean. Wifi worked, can get in and out at anytime you want after check in. Cons: Not so well localized as most reviews says, but not bad either: 20 mins walking from city centre, 25 from train station.
My wife and me spent a weekend in Trieste and have chosen this place for the second time this year. It offers a very quiet location yet not that far from the centre (20 min. on foot or couple of bus stations by rather frequent buses 6 and 9, each 10-15 minutes) and, what's especially important in Italy, there's a free parking space. I think that driving around city centers in any city and especially in Italy is not real fun, so this is a way to avoid it: park here for free and walk or use public buses (a day ticket is 4,35 EUR, you can use it to reach some more remote places as castle Miramare as well). Regarding the accomodation: small appartments are OK, comfortable, very clean, with plenty of hot water for shower and good heating which is important in winter. There's a good big supermarket 3 minutes away ... The staff is friendly and answers the questions by mail quickly, usually within 24 hours. The only complaint (a minor one) is that the attached kitchen in the appartment can be better equipped, but as we did not cooked, just prepared breakfasts, this did not spoil our stay. Additional plus: Viale XX septiembre is a nice street for walking to the centre, especially the lower part, closer to the centre, which features some bars, a very good book store (Lovat) and a nice small oriental restauran "A thousand and one night".…
Poor quality for 80 euros. Apartments have a kitchenette, but you can't wash or wipe the dishes. No dish washing solution or wiping towel was put at our disposal. It was cold, the radiators didn't function properly. In the bathroom the smell was terrible; in the shower the door fall on you. The staff speak only Italian. The parking can't be named a parking lot in Romania, but in Italy everything is possible :). But the best is yet to come. We booked the room for four nights, stayed three nights, but informed the receptionist upon the modification of our departure date 24 hours prior our departure. Nevertheless on the day of our departure the administrator wanted to charge us with the price for four days. After tough negotiations we paid half of the price for the last days, 40 euros. Hilarious was their argument that they lost money, as we made the reservation for 4 nights and stayed only 3. The hotel was empty :). Wouldn't recommend to anyone.…
We spent a comfortable five nights in this place.Short bus ride to the centre or a twenty minute walk. Small shopping mall located right next to it which is convenient if you need to pick up groceries. Rooms were clean and furnished with Ikea. There is reliable wifi in the rooms and the beds provided a good night's sleep. Accommodation prices are honest. This is not a hotel per se in terms of daily room cleaning and 24 hour concierge. Highly recommended and good value for those who seek longer stays.
booked here because it,s near my family ample parking just above building spotless clean large clean bathroom they charge a small surcharge if you want extra towels ( surely 7 towels for 5 days is enough! it was for us) nobody bothers you it was ideal bus ride to centre but its only 1 km anyway and reasonably flat . the Ukranian lady Nadia was very helpfull. the Giulia centre with big supermarket 80m away just below no great views but if you want value for money you cant beat it we paid 260 euros for5 nights! parking important in Trieste if you have a vehicle its really hard to find a parking space its great fun seeing where they park a uk parking attendant would think all his birthdays were coming at once if he worked here!! getting back ideal place if sight seeing but book early its always busy…
We spent 3 nights here. That was hard to found parking place close to to entrance for the check in. The residence has own parking place, it opened from the street behind the residence. The room was spacious and the kitchen is well equipped. All the stuffs produced by Ikea. The location is very good, the neighbourhood is quiet but you can reach the inner city by foot easy. There is a big supermarket in the next building so the shopping was not a problem. It is a good possibility for a couple of days, if you want to discover the city.
This was my first time in Trieste and I quickly found out how difficult it is to drive in this city, there are one ways everywhere and the roads are narrow. It took us a good 40 mins to find the route to the hotel, only to realise the parking was on a nearby street but to get there we had to go round for a few kilometres. The hotel sent us an email with directions to the parking but unfortunately the directions were probably outdated and didn't take into account the one ways. After another 30 mins we finally found the parking. There is no one at reception after 8pm and they leave the keys in the box with a code sent by email. Bit tricky to understand where everything is at first but this felt like a nice treasure hunt after the parking adventure. The room itself was immaculately clean, the hotel is super quiet and comfy. So all in all, this is a great place but beware of you are coming by car, it's not easy. My only complain would be with the directions we were given to the hotel parking, they were wrong and need to be looked at again, this would have saved us quite a bit of time. But if you are considering this hotel, do go for it, it's great value for money, clean, comfy, quiet !!…
