The hotel was easy to find and if you are with car there is a large bus stop area where you can unload and get your bearings. The rooms are silent and very comfortable, the staff is super helpful. The breakfast area is well equipped with everything from fresh fruit to fried bacon.

Hotel's Favourite
This was my first time in Italy (it was a work trip), and the hotel was lovely. First, it’s a great location — you can walk to all sorts of restaurants and even a grocery store. Second, the rooms are extremely spacious. The one thing that was awkward is it’s very hard to drive to easily given all the pedestrian only streets and one-ways. When we were first trying to check into our hotel we circled the neighborhood multiple times before we figured out how to get to the front of the hotel, where we could leave the car for the valet. Another error I made was making my reservation via a site that wasn’t the Hilton site, and when I had to check out early, I found I had prepaid for a longer stay. I know better next time.

The front desk staff were very friendly, helpful and polite. All of them. The room was very nice and clean, with confortabile beds. The breakfast was delicious, with a big variety of products. Thank you DoubleTree by Hilton Trieste for your hospitality!

It was a comfortable walk with large suit case from the train station. Central location for dining and sightseeing. Location was easy short walk to the cruise terminal, less than 2k. Room was large, airy and comfortable. Breakfast had a varied choice of healthy options, and set you up for the day

I have had the pleasure of staying 50 plus night pr year the last years at DoubleTree by Hilton in Trieste, and in total 130 plus nights at different Hilton locations world wide. Without any doubts, DoubleTree by Hilton Trieste is "best in class" among my personal Hilton expereince. What a friendly and professional hospitality. All service disiplines (reception, house keeping, breakfast, Berlam bar, management etc) are going beyond and above in their strive for always a better customer satisfaction. I can give my best recommandations to use this hotel both for pleasure and business! It is truly a home away from home! You will no be dissapointed!

Only stayed for one night, but it was wonderful. We actually didn't eat there, but outsdie of that, I can echo much of what the 4 or 5 positive reviews before mine said. Would have liked to have stayed longer, but we were told (inaccuartely, BTW...) that a tour to Slovakia we were going to take only picked up at another Hotel. Our other Hotel was fine, BTW, but I'd try to stay here again if we were ever back in the area.

This hotel is absolutely gorgeous. The architecture is stunning and beyond beautiful.The location is perfect. Right in the center of town and close to everything. Has an excellent restaurant and the staff and service is outstanding. They really go above and beyond to make sure you’re comfortable. I highly recommend doubletree by Hilton here in Trieste.

A lovely hotel that plays to the heritage of the building in many of the public areas while still providing even modern comfort. The bed was very comfy and as they kindly upgraded us to a deluxe room, the room included a table, easy chair and plenty space. To be eco friendly (I assume) toiletries were in dispensers, but despite this, disposable cups rather than mugs were provided, which seemed to be at odds with the hotel’s eco attempts. Also a shame that you could not access any stairs beyond the first floor and so were forced to rely on just the 2 lifts (which staff also had to use, but they weren’t allowed to use if a guest was in them, which led to some awkward moments when staff insisted you go without them). Breakfast had a really good cold food offering with a massive variety and good quality, but I was less than impressed by the hot food which was very limited and looked far less appetising. Hot drinks were made by the staff and brought to your table, which meant coffees were very good quality, but they twice forgot my coffee and so it created very long waits for a caffeine fix! Also enjoyed cocktails in the traditional Berlam lounge, and were reasonably priced. Gym area was also fine. Staff were helpful, and the hotel was centrally located. …

In Spring 2023 Gourmet Wine Travel Ltd. performed a Private Wine Tour for a couple from Switzerland in the Friuli-Venezia Giulia wine region and started with Trieste. The Double Tree by Hilton Trieste is ideally located in the City Center and in walking distance to a lot of interesting places, great sites and restaurants at the waterfront promenade. We could drop off the luggage and parked the car in the neighborhood. My guests stated that the Hotel was an excellent choice. Already when you enter this early 20th-century building, you feel welcome by its elegance and the original fresco ceilings and marble interiors. The rooms are comfortable and we we slept well, undisturbed. The Wifi was strong and consistent. We enjoyed our breakfast very much and found a great selection of very nice arranged food. Staff was professional and the ladies in the breakfast area were exceptional. The city is safe and clean and even though it was raining at the beginning we enjoyed the great atmosphere. The second day we explored the City Center together with a City Tour Guide and could learn a lot about this wonderful place. We highly recommend a stay at the Double Tree by Hilton Trieste because you will get a nice feeling of luxury and the Hotel is centrally located to all Trieste has to offer !!…

The Double Tree Trieste is ideally located in walking distance to lots of great sites and restaurants. The area is safe and seemed to be always buzzing with people. The bed was comfy and I slept well, undisturbed. The wifi was also strong and consistent. I enjoyed breakfast and found a great selection - with lots of tasty options. Staff was professional and the ladies in the bar and breakfast were exceptional. The lobby and bar and breakfast areas are very nicely maintained. The rooms need a bit of help. They are older and showing signs of wear. Some furniture seemed a bit dingy, a couch a bit dirty, and walls in need of new paint. The housekeeping staff also seems a bit of a miss - for example I saw various dishes and glasses in the hallway for over 24 hours. And the bottle of shampoo fell off my shower wall and no one bothered to fix it. Little things- but attention to these details could boost this to the number one property in Trieste.
