Excellent located at the heart of the city, easy walking distance to all major attractions and restaurants. All the staff are super kind and super helpful, especially the reception staff and house-keeping. Spacious rooms in a historical building, however very well kept and maintained. Warm cookies during the check-in certainly added to the feeling that we were warmly welcomed.
Where location, international standards, architecture, customer service meet. Basically, my kind of “home” Amazing bar which take you to another era and delight your taste with the best cocktails in town. Parking available but costly however valet parking is convenient. Thanks for the consideration and welcome. See you on my next visit to Trieste, will come back for my cookies
Great hotel and location wonderful character of how theykept the days of the old Bank in modern setting very quiet room and great staff. Its the place to stay when in trieste. Would recommend to anyone. In the bar area and library you can feel money deals from old being carried out
For the 2022 Easter break, the family spent 3 nights in this wonderful Trieste Doubletree. Without hesitation, we will return to enjoy this beautifully architected hotel and town. Positives/Highlights 1. Check-in - when we arrived, the cozy check-in area was a bit hectic. But to no worry - a reception team member came around the desk, shared a welcome, and had us headed to our room within minutes. Friendly, efficient, effective. 2. The architecture of this building is fabulous. Due yourself a favor and look around some. We really enjoyed the small library area as the entry to the restaurant. The front desk/entry area is wonderful and nice to come “home to”. 3. Room - we stayed in a king suite that had a unique ceiling, as it was a rooftop skylight! What an unique room and enjoyable. A welcome note from the GM, nice space for all 3 of us, amenity-filled bath - what you’d expect from a Hilton brand, with a bit more sophisticated feel than many Hilton properties. And never did we hear any noise, therefore having a restful night and morning. 4. Breakfast - a fully-stocked breakfast with availability to order something you want special. Nice Italian cheese, cereals, sweets, eggs, etc. You won’t walk away hungry. And the staff kept the area clean and helped us with some drinks and extra silverware. And thanks to Giuseppe for the warm welcome, nice conversation, and insights. 5. Cleanliness - hand sanitizers, masks, etc. were available to all guests. A nice touch. 6. Style - goes along with the architecture, but this hotel has great style from top to bottom. 7. Doubletree team - very helpful from the front desk to breakfast staff to valet. Much appreciated. 8. Location - in the heart of the city. Couldn’t ask for a better location. Negatives I’m fortunate to travel often, and have stayed in many hotels - some reviewed here on TA. The Doubletree Hilton Trieste will be remembered by me for that long list above. Just a nice stay for us. We look forward to returning. Thank you Doubletree Trieste! Hope to see you again soon.…
VERY SLOW CHECK IN. & poor CUSTOMER SERVICE we arrived tired at night around 8pm after a long 10hr drive, we did not make a booking but decided to stay here, just because we didnt book online we had to wait for the receptionist to clear all other ppl in the line even behind us, then she started the process of check in, took almost 45mins till we got up to our room, dead tired. By the way the price we paid was almost 50% more of whats in the booking sites. Next day i went to request them for an hour or 2 extra during check out and they clearly told whats the problem, after explaining them, one the senior guys checks his computer and says we checked in at 8.52 yesterday and there was no one before u and after u, so whats ur problem again, i just left back to the room packed my stuff and left the hotel. That's SERIOUSLY PATHETIC SERVICE Shame on u DOUBLE TREE TRIESTE!!!!…
Highly refined style of renovation. Hotel staff super well trained and very elegant service. Location is not that central to historic Triest. Entrance by way of a significatn stairway requires significat effort to handle suitcases.
Beautiful hotel, historic building! Clean throughout Staff: all staff were polite, helpful and friendly. Daniele at the front desk was extremely helpful and professional upon check in. Natasha a young woman who worked in the bar/restaurant was very pleasant and helped to make our evening memorable. The main dining room was closed on the night we had dinner to celebrate my husbands birthday, so part of the bar was set up for dinner. It is a wonderfully architecturally decorated room, and more intimate than the dining room. We moved to the the other end of the bar for a digestif, the bar man was also pleasant, and the room was so comfortable. The pictures on the web sight do not do it justice! Rooms: The room we booked was not suitable for our needs, there was a roll away bed set up in it which took away most of the free space for moving. Upon mentioning this at the front desk, Daniel upgraded us to a Jr. Suite, it was a beautiful and comfortable room!! I was using crutches at this time, and it gave me room to manipulate. Also I liked the fact it had wooden floors, and not carpeting. I personally feel it is more hygienic. The room was quiet, had good lighting, and a large walk in shower. Parking: we chose valet parking for the convenience, the self parking is a short distance away (I think) The location of the hotel is very central to shopping, sight seeing, restaurants/bars. We found it difficult to locate when we initially drove to there as it is in a pedestrian only area, and there are one way streets around it, and other streets not accessible. With the help of the GPS and asking pedestrians we found it!! This is an excellent hotel, great staff, and a wonderful historical museum for our pleasure!!…
From the entrance to the rooms, you can feel that you are in touch with History. Marble, statues, moldings, frescoes, ... Breakfast is really good. Special thank to Daniele from the Wellness, he has been so very attentive and caring with us.
The hotel is in an early 20th century palace and many of the original features have been preserved. It is a beautiful place in a great location for seeing the city. The price is very fair. Our room was large and well appointed. The staff was friendly, professional and helpful. Breakfast was very good.
We had an amazing experience at this hotel! Came to Triest for a short getaway and all the staff was incredibly friendly. The Spa was amazing, we had a really relaxing time there and even received a rose and some prosecco by the lovely Danjel. Everything else is also perfect 10/10 from us.
