We had a very good three days in Parma - our apartment was excellently located, quiet and comfortable, with the added luxury of a daily cleaner included in the price. Max's friend, Marco, who hosted, gave us great advice on where to eat and where to go and we ended our stay with a fascinating discussion of Italian politics, about...

I have stayed at the Rubra and absolutely loved this experience. I travel a lot for work, so I have seen loads of hotels and B&Bs and I have to say it's almost impossible to come across with places as clean, cozy and welcoming as the one at Max's place. Despite being extremely quiet and relaxing, position as well is...

Rubra Bed & Breakfast & Apartments truly was our home away from home, and, yes, we could've moved in and stayed forever. It was that nice, that cozy, that inviting. Max was the best! He settled us in quickly and helped us organize our quest for antique markets and good food. We stayed in the downstairs apartment. It was perfect...

Stayed in the 1brm apartment on the 3rd floor for 2 nights in early September. No lift, so be prepared to climb the 3 flights of stairs, good exercise if wanting to enjoy the fabulous food of Parma. The apartment was self contained (though no washing machine), with a small balcony overlooking the garden area, very nice. Friends stayed in...

We stayed in Max's very centrally located apartment in late September and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The apartment is very comfortable and has access to a lovely courtyard. There were plenty of dishes and pots for cooking and there is a market down the street on Saturday where you can buy some wonderful fresh food. Max was extremely helpful with...

My wife and I stayed four nights at Rubra B&B. It was very clean, convenient, and well located. Definitely a comfortable place to stay. Marco is a very nice host that makes you feel welcomed and at ease. He left me an umbrella on the door when it rained, and gave us outstanding suggestions to eat at. Would definitely recommend!...

Arrived on a really hot day 35c and it was lovely that the apartment was cool and cold water in the fridge. The air-conditioning never faltered during our 5 nights. Good location as a supermarket is close by ( 150 m ) for such a good location it is very quiet with great shutters. Rooms are cleaned every day, and...

Rubra is best place in centre of town, in walking distance from all most important places. 5 mins walking from Parma main square, from opera theatre, from all museums and night life. 100 mt from Ducale Park, the oldest and main one. very clean and quite, because the front door is on the main street of town but rooms look...

Tutto era ottimo! In short, we'd return in an instant and we'd recommend Rubra to our family, friends, co-workers and anyone else who values comfortable living and an hospitable host. Here are a few more details... We stayed at Rubra for seven nights while on our honeymoon in northern Italy and we have only good things to say. We'll first...

“If you need wifi, Max told us that the wifi only worked well in the garden of the ground floor apartment and, since it was raining and we needed it, we took a different apartment. I can tell you the wifi in Max's B&B was the most reliable we had in Italy! By the way - the heat worked great and there is air conditioning for the warm months.”
