#60 of 112 hotels in Bologna
Il Convento dei Fiori di Seta (The Convent of the Silk Flowers) is an elegant 4-star superior hotel in Bologna. The hotel is housed in an ancient 14th-century convent and has been furnished to offer our guests a unique and special experience. Il Convento dei Fiori di Seta has 10 delightful bedrooms and thanks to its small size, it offers an intimate, welcoming and relaxing environment. All close to the historic center of Bologna. The property features original brick and stone elements, beautiful frescoes and rooms with free WiFi and LCD TV with Sky channels. The hotel also has a wellness area with jacuzzi, turkish bath and a massage center. In medieval times, silk was grown inside our ancient convent. In memory of this old tradition, the hotel management decided to call it The Convent of the Silk Flowers. Based on the national protocol ‘'Safe Reception'' which identifies effective measures to prevent the spread of SARS-CoV-2 virus in tourist-accommodation facilities, it's necessary to send to the facility, prior to arrival, all the information needed for registration, as well as a copy of a valid identity card/passport that will be exhibited on arrival.

Nice located hotel with a really nice room. Very clean and pretty inside. The breakfast wasn’t amazing but still very good. I think it used to be a buffet but due to the covid-19 situation, they only do room service. Be careful when you ordered your breakfast because I had not done it properly and missed out on certain things.

The staff were very helpful during the whole stay. The rooms were a good size and well equipped and good value. The location is good and it is easy to walk to the centre from the hotel. The only minor negatives were that the entrance is not obvious and I walked past it twice before I found it. The main bar only offered limited drinks and did not offer wine which is a surprise for Italy. Neither of these would stop me from staying there again

We stayed only one night in this “4 star” hotel. The rooms look great on pictures, thats why we decided to book this hotel. The reality is completely different. The room looked old, the floor was horrible I wouldn’t walk barefoot there. The bathroom was huge, guess because we got a room with disabled access?? I don’t understand the dirty rug inside the bathroom... There was no side tables next to the bed, so you have to sleep with your phone, tissues etc. There are no key cards what you would expect in a 4* place. They giving you actual keys. I had to use the toilet at the reception as our room was not ready yet. It was the narrowest toilet I have ever seen in my life. It definitely needs refurbishment. The breakfast was the biggest disappointment. Small, lacking variety and didn’t look fresh. The lettuce was rotten under the cheese and cold cuts. I couldn’t eat anything else but bread and nutella. The staff was nice at the desk, and I liked the fact that they tried to keep the old character of the building in the lobby. Wouldn’t recommend it and wouldn’t stay here again.
