I did a reservation in the covid situation started period. I could not travel to Italy and I contacted the Nuovo hotel and they promised me to pay my reservation many back and ı believed them and canceled my reservation. What is next, is not so surprising. They are not paying my money back and not replying to my emails. They have problems with fairness and ethic.
This was a decent hotel, in a convenient location. The problem was that the walls are so thin that we could hear every word being spoken in the room next door and even hear sounds from the room across the hall! The people next to us wanted to stay up late so we had to wait for them before we could sleep. Not a restful stay!
A few minute´s walk from the city centre as well as the central station and bus terminus. The staff were nice and helpful, speaking good English. The room and the bathroom were big enough with a small fridge, the bathroom with a hairdryer and bidet. Baggage storage. A supermarket just round the corner. No breakfast. I could hear voices from the neighbouring room but not such a big problem if you are staying one night or two. No information material on the hotel/city in the room.
A very decent hotel. Room had AC and good wifi access. Clean. Location just 15 min walk from city centre attractions. And 5 min walk from central train station, which to me is main benefit of staying here. Kudos to front desk staff especially Linda who was super helpful. If you need to have a COVID test done before returning to your home country, I suggest using the airport facilities (airmedicalservice.eu). €100 for PCR and €130 for rapid PCR (result in 3 hours). It’s a short ride away on Marconi Express. And it seems that local medical labs are relatively uncommon.
I strongly recommend not to stay in this hotel. A very unpleasant incident has occurred during our stay. One of our suitcases was stolen from our room the day before the departure. It was stolen while we were out and the room was cleaned by the staff. When we returned and found the loss, we immediately came to the reception, and after futile attempts to find the suitcase (there are no surveillance cameras in the hotel, neither on the floors, nor at the entrance, anyone can freely enter and take things), we went to the police and filed a report. We were assured by the manager at the reception that he had contacted his superiors and that the hotel had insurance against theft. He told us to write an email to the hotel with the details of what was stolen in order to require a refund, which was done in 20 minutes, and again he assured us that the letter was received and transmitted to the hotel management, and that a response would be given within two days. But he refused to sign a paper copy of this statement. As a result, no one ever replied us despite our numerous emails. Disgusting service, the hotel does not provide any security nor takes responsibility plus intentionally misleads and deceives its guests.…
