Lovely, comfortable, modern room. Great Wi-Fi, good choice of items at breakfast. Staff were very accommodating at keeping our bags as were were too early to check in. Well situated for the centre and the train station. Very pleasant stay.
Zanhotel Reginal honoured our out-of-date voucher, issued because we couldn’t take a holiday due to COVID, even though they were not obliged to. We were upgraded from a standard room to an apartment which was another gesture of goodwill and made our visit to this fantastic city even more enjoyable. Late for breakfast the first morning, one of the waitstaff piled a plate full of pastries and genuinely welcomed us to take a seat. Fantastic service. We will return and we will recommend this hotel to others.
The hotel is close to the train station and the city center. They offer a rich and tasty breakfast with enough products to choose from. The room was small, had no special view (the window faced an inner courtyard) but it had everything I needed. It was clean, the towels were changed every day. Great bed and pillows. The staff at the reception is friendly, they speak English. You can pay with cash or credit card. I would definitely stay there again on a next visit. 🙂
I stayed here as a solo traveler for two nights in April 2022 and the hotel stay was average and could have been better Good things - Rooms were compact but very well appointed, fairly modern, amazing bathroom, TV, little fridge on the wall with waters in it, comfy bed - Good wifi, no issues - Location is pretty good as you are a 5-10 minute walk from the Central Train Station and another 5-10 minute walk to the city center. Hotel itself is surrounded by shops, restaurants, cafes, shops, and a plaza where there is a flea market. Bad things: - Knowing it could be noisy, I specifically requested a room on a high floor when I booked directly through the hotel --- not a third party like Booking.com or Expedia. When I checked in, they put me in a room on the 1st floor facing the main road, which is very busy and noisy. I then had to go back downstairs and ask if there were other rooms. They moved me to a room on 3rd Floor facing the plaza that was quieter. Why did they not put me in that room in the first place? - All of the male staff members I encountered were not friendly - almost cold. There was no language barrier since we all spoke English. - COVID protocols: multiple staff members not wearing masks or wearing them beneath their noses despite there being an indoor mask mandate across Italy. Hotel also did not ask to see Green Pass to sit and eat inside for breakfast. - Prepared foods at breakfast (eggs, bacon, pancakes) were overcooked, burnt, and practically stale.…
A very good 3-star hotel, perfect for a short stay in Bologna. Seemed to be quite popular with business travelers, probably as it's very suited to their practical needs. Our room was a small-ish but reasonable size, as was the bathroom. Very clean and recently updated. Would have been nice to have a small lamp by the desk instead of just bright overhead lights. Breakfast was ok, but nothing really special. Free wifi worked great and staff were friendly. The location was perfect - short walk from the train station and 5-10 min walk to the historic center or university area. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby too. However, it is on a very busy main road, which meant that there was a lot of street noise from very early until late. The windows offer some protection, but bring earplugs if you are sensitive to noise. All in all, a nice mid-range hotel in a convenient location and I'd stay again.…
In my room, the mattress was uncomfortable and probably needs changing. I stayed at the hotel for 5 nights and paid over 900 Euros. I reported my bed was uncomfortable by email both during my stay and after to give the hotel a chance to respond before writing this review. Neither email was acknowledged nor received a reply. The rooms have no tea or coffee making facilities. Front of desk daytime staff are matter-of-fact. I had a bigger room, with tea and coffee making and choice of toiletries in Milan for 30% cheaper. However, the hotel has great location, rooms clean and the breakfast staff are lovely.
A reasonably priced hotel (£88) less than a 10 minute walk from the station and a couple of minutes from my favourite restaurant. My room was clean although very small. Not quite room enough to swing a mouse! I had a good night’s sleep which was surprising as it was on a busy street. Wifi very good, breakfast average, although they serve a very good cappuccino.
Very nice, comfy and well located hotel in Bologna. the location of Regina hotel is very strategic, not so far from the train station but also in the city center. You can go by foot wherever you want and a large parking is colse by, so you don't have to worry about traffic zone restrictions.
Very well placed hotel just near the center of the city. Walking distance to everything. The hotel was renewed and we had a great room for 4 thatwas in fact a suite with 2 rooms. The receptionist was very helpful and professional. Nice breakfast. Public parking 3 minutes from the hotel. Highly recommended
Our room was small but clean and comfortable. Staff was very helpful and friendly. We asked for help with a restaurant reservation and they walked to the restaurant when they would not answer the phone! That is service!! Breakfast was very good. The location was close enough to train station for us to walk and close to many of the sites in the old town
