A well located boutique hotel / backpackers tucked away behind one of the main roads of Bologna. Clean and well furnished rooms. We were a couple in a double room but I caught a glimpse inside the dorm room which looked great. Breakfast was very basic but enough to keep you going. Perhaps during the more touristy season there is...

The staff was really friendly and the location superb, close to Piazza Maggiore, and only 15 minutes walking to the train station. The installations are modern and clean, and the bed was really comfortable. Breakfast was frugal.

A great, small and friendly hostel - staff were lovely, facilities are perfect and the location is almost unbeatable. Beds were very comfortable...Would seriously recommend for anyone starting the Via Degli Dei in Bologna.

I'm glad I only stayed two nights. I wouldn't recommend this place except in a crunch. The staff was ok, sort of cranky and the whole experience was vaguely awkward. Breakfast was endurable, the coffee was fine. The is a serious lack of showed, the air con was temperamental. BUT it is a great location and clean.

Il Castello and Bologna have become very dear to my heart! Pros: - It's small, so you're bound to meet people there. I did and I had the most amazing time ever. We were a big group of people who went out together. - It's clean. - It's safe - they even give you a locker and a key for...

There's nothing specifically wrong with this hostel, I just didn't feel it was very friendly. If you check in after 19:00 you get charged an extra 10 euros, which for me meant that the price of my stay went up by 50%. When I emailed the management to enquire about this charge, I received a rude response. The staff at...

It says B&B but is a hostel. While the entrance was a bit difficult to find the first time, the location can't be beat and the hostel is great. Clean, modern, and quiet with a friendly staff- and I mean really friendly. I ran into a couple of them on the street and they stopped to say hey. Great value!...

All the rooms and bathrooms where very clean and had good facilities - in a few bathrooms there were showers that squirted you from the side! (Really fancy). Breakfast is included in the price but is a very standard meal. With only toast or croissant to choose from with jam or Nutella and a single piece of fruit so make...

Il Castello is a B&B (but really, for me it looked just like a hostel!) situated right in the centre of Bologna. It's in a quiet little alley 2 minutes away from piazza maggiore! The building is very pretty with a marble entrance hall and a lift that takes you to the rooms. I stayed in an mixed 8 bed...

Me and a friend stayed two nights during our time travelling italy and this was a favourite of ours. We stayed in a mixed dorm of 4 people and the place was immaculate. Jacuzzi showers in this place are awesome. Best part really was the people, as far as i understand theirs a lot of students in bologna so we...
