The staff here was one of the warmest and most inviting!! Immaculately clean, and lovely decor! We stayed in the suite, and the private terrace in itself was so divine! Staff was extremely attentive, and professional, yet at the same time made you feel like you were staying with family! Great location, near every sight to see in Rome! I...

First impressions were poor, we had to wait while the staff at front counter argued about something before we could book in. We were then locked in the main entrance while they reviewed our passports - a little disconcerting. The room was disappointing, you can't actually sit on the toilet! They've said the bathroom is small but you need to...

Agreeing with other reviewers.....the location of the hotel is prime and also a good area of Rome. We stayed for 3 nights. The metro station is very close and hotel is central. A lot of good places to eat nearby and easy to get around. The hotel does have AC and we had no problem with it. The room was...

Hotel Centrale in Rome is a small, cozy, clean and nice hotel with a sweet, helpful and service-minded staff. Good location, close to Piazza del Popolo and the Spanish Steps, close to the Metro. We have no doubt the next time we go to Rome, we will stay at hotel Centrale again. Best regards Palle & Tine, Denmark

I liked so much location of the Hotel Centrale. It is really close to Piazza di Spagna and it is also next to Via del Corso. You can go to any popular place in the centre on foot. And the people working at the hotel are really kind. Really nice hotel in the best part of the city.

I just came back from Rome and was staying at Hotel Centrale with my mom. The hotel was very cosy and welcoming. The personnel were very friendly and helpful. When our tour agency offered Hotel Centrale to us I started checking the reviews. Most people were saying that the rooms are very small and there are problems with the AC...

The hotel a/cs don't work well. The thermostat will say 18 degrees celsius, which is 66 degrees fahrenheit. There's no way the room was that cold. We tried setting ours at all different degree settings, and the temp in our room never got cool enough to keep us from sweating. The air coming out of the vents never got cold,...

Dear guest, you have already written a negative review about our hotel ("Hotel Central, unfriendly management poor air conditioning", published on 2 September). Now you use the account of your wife (created later this week!) to release a second negative review about our hotel. This behavior is not in accordance with the ethics of Tripadvisor, as you want to create...

The best part about this hotel is the location, that was our aim being this the first time in Rome, the metro station is couple of blocks away and that's how we arrived from the airport. we found ourselves surrounded by nice restaurants, the Spanish steps, piazza di popolo and more. We walked the city and found this location to...

We arrived at hotel Centrale mid afternoon. They don't have any parking so they suggested a parking garage that charged 40 euro's a day. Too much for Rome. We found our own parking for 20 euros. My wife was shown the room which was extremely hot and on the fourth floor. Elevators only go to the 3rd floor. By the...

Dear Guest, I have personally verified what you wrote on your review. The room that has been reserved is a Superior category room on the top floor of the hotel, with a private terrace with table and chairs and lemon trees , olive trees, jasmine and climbing roses . All other guests who have stayed there felt the rooms on...

We recently hosted this gentleman, I can not just answer him, and later I will explain the reasons, but to those who read it, that these are people who are very particular and do not know what it's like to travel and meet the people who work. Neighbourhood Profile
Campo Marzio
From its original role as ancient army training fields to its present-day identity as one of the city’s most desirable neighbourhoods, the Campo Marzio is the best place to get lost in Rome. Gorgeous Renaissance and Baroque palazzos line the streets, and are filled with enticing boutiques and food shops. By day, Rome’s best-dressed denizens criss-cross its streets in a fashionable parade of errands, occasionally pausing to look fabulous in gorgeous piazzas like San Lorenzo in Lucina. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
It is situated in a pedestrian area near Spanish Steps and Popolo Squares, which is extremely quiet and just few meters far from the big Villa Borghese parking. What makes the hotel unique among the others in the capital city is the building fascination; it is in fact a beautiful 1700 palace. Moreover, the hotel is one of the few that, being located in the centre of Rome, can offer advantage our rates. ... more   less
