This establishment should not be called a B&B. The room was nice, spacious and comfortable, but did not look like the photos online, and the bathroom was not attached. There was NO breakfast served. Upon arrival, we were given vouchers to get a pastry and cappucino at a place a few blocks away. We did not see a safe in...

We arrived on a very hot day at 2 PM, desperately wanted a shower, but no water. The couple who had the room the night before had the same experience. Only two rooms occupied the two nights we were there, the girl in the other room had no water one of the mornings. When we came in the next day...

Stayed here for 4 days in May of this year. The location was good, and relatively quiet, although there are many B&B's in the building so at times a lot of noise echoing up the stair wells. The older lady who dealt with us on arrival was friendly and approachable, despite the language barrier, however the other younger female staff...

I can't really explain why I didn't fully like this place. The rooms are big and the external bathroom is good. But it just had some sort of deserted place kind of quality to it. Like it needed some life. I stayed in a total of 6 hotels in Italy and this was my least favorite. Also the breakfast was...

The reviews for this B&B were correct. Serafina made us feel very welcome and was accommodating for a later check in and for leaving our bags for collection at the end of our last day. There was a minor language barrier but transactions were simple and did not require much beyond basic communication and lots can be done with gestures!...

My partner and me were at this lovely place a couple of days ago, we went to rome for a week and we enjoyed a lot the time that we were resting here after the long days that we were visiting the great things that rome offers to you. Serafina (the owner) is a lovely person who always has an...

Casa Serafina works well for a clean, comfortable room, with a good bathroom near Termini. It's only a short walk for an early-morning train. Valaria and Serafina greeted us, and Valaria speaks enough English for travelers to get by. She gave us a good restaurant recommendation down the street, and she offered to put our breakfast in a to-go bag...

The owner and her daughter made us welcome. As others have mentioned they have made no effort to learn any English so we made sure that we learned enough Italian to get by. The large bedroom was great by continental standards and the shower room just what you would expect. If you are happy with excellent coffee, some strange confections...

Very good position for Rome Termini station and the airport shuttle train. On the third floor of an apartment block serviced by a tiny lift but very secure, clean and welcoming. Owners have little or no English so be prepared to mime and mug if you have as little Italian as myself. Linguistic confusion led to us having coffee in...

This B&B is located very close to Termini. Just 5 minutes walk. The room was nice and clean and there was even a fridge. The bed was VERY good! The lady running the B&B was very friendly and helpful. I definitely recommend this B&B!

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
