We loved the location of Royal House. Seeing the Colosseum was at the top of our list and we were able to see it at the beginning and at the end of every day since it is directly across the street from the hotel. We couldn't directly see it from our room (#2 with two double beds) but with a...

Can't beat the view of the Collosseum in the evening from the restaurant, our room, and juts seeing it every night on our way back! Or having breakfast, lunch or dinner on the restaurant terrace, or on the street in front directly opposite the Collosseum. Service from staff was bad and often confusing and rude. Room is basic and be...

The Royal House hotel had a nice, spacious double room that I've stayed in for two nights at the end of my trip to Rome. I had been at a bed and breakfast down the street but couldn't stay there longer and booked this on the last minute. I was surprised it was available. The room price is reasonable for...

We stayed in Royal House for 5 nights and although we had some problems with our flight, Catia confronted us and she was very helpful. Unfortunately we could meet her in person during our check-out but her friendliness, hospitality and guest relations management are %100 perfect. The staff, Alina, Olga & Murat to name a few, of Royal House restaurant...

I specifically booked this hotel for the awesome view of the Colloseum directly across the street. After reading an internet article titled "Rome's Royal House: Room with a Wonderous View". (Just Google the title and it will pop up to read if interested.) In my booking, I requested room #103 as mentioned in the article and was so happy to...

Enjoy every minute at the hotel.. This is the only hotel having front door facing the great Colosseum. You should have dinner at the 2nd floor (rooftop) restaurant, it's like you can eat and touch the Colosseum at the same time. For food, try the ice-cream and tiramisu cake, it's brilliant!

Friendly staff, and very unique rooftop restaurant overlooking te colosseum. The one and only downfall is on the nights we stayed Fri, Sat, Sun it was very very LOUD in the cafe, come restaurant, come bar downstairs...

Brilliant , we loved this hotel as its location was amazing best in town where we could open up the windows in the mornings and view the Colosseum .The cafe downstairs was great for meals and we never heard any noise. We were well looked after and the staff let us store bags until rooms ready. Breakfast was a little...

The hotel is literally across the road from the Colosseum. We had a great view! Catia, the hotel manager, is a wonderful host and deserves accolades many times over. She made us feel welcome and was always helpful in recommending or giving directions to attractions. The Hop On Hop Off bus stop and metro station are only five minutes away,...

You can see the Colosseum from your bed. We parked our car on the side street and that is where it stayed to whole time in Rome. The turist bus stop is only a two block walk and about the same for the regular bus system. We arrived at 7 am. They stored our luggage behind the counter until our...
