We book this B&B through Expedia. Pictures looked ok, and the reviews on trip advisor also looked ok. Once we got to the "B&B" (they have no right to be called B&B) there were two floors of stairs, obviously no elevator. The room had a sink inside the bedroom and it looked nothing like the pictures we'd seen before. There...

My sister and I stayed in a double ensuite (bathroom in the room) and had a very good experience. The people were very nice and spoke excellent English and went over a map with us of Rome when we arrived. The place is 2 minutes from the main train station and about a 20 minute walk to the Colosseum. A...

I chose this hotel because it was near the Termini and the price was very good. The rooms were fantastically clean and the ensuite was more than adequate. Breakfast was a cheerfully informal affair with extra cappuccino if you wanted served up by Pino - a gregarious Boston Italian. My only comment - could have done with a couple more...

Stayed ensuite couple days ago. Walking distance to both Roma Termini railway and Metro, which is important if u need to take a train to another city early morning. Conad supermarket is 100 metres away, get your cheap drinks, beers and snacks there. Pino is so friendly, who talk abt current affairs every morning over my breakfast, and believe me,...

We stayed for 4 nights in a private room for 2 with ensuite washroom. The room and washroom were very clean. Great location – about an 8 minute walk to Termini. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. They advised us of laundry locations and even provided us with croissants and juice boxes for the morning that we had to...

Stayed in private room for two, with a private toilet. Room was nice and clean, but a bit too small. Room had a closet, nigh stands, mini fridge and a small TV. Arrived there middle of the night and was still able to access my room with the arrangements the staff made even with a short notice. Location is excellent,...

Stayed there for 5 nights post cruise. Our room had a private bath, we paid for AC. Pino was very helpful, gave us excellent tips and advice each morning while we had our cappuccinos . Given its location near Roma Termini it was very quiet, clean and safe location. The family operate the Trattoria al Camoscio D'Abruzzo, reasonably priced, excellent...

Staff are great, location is central but still quiet. Very safe location. 3 mins to closest Metro and about 8 mins to Termini. We arrived early but were checked in early and left our bags on our last day for a late departure. Definitely recommend.

Staff ( bad with remembering names sorry! ) are AMAZING. Missed our flight and we were so upset, they helped us book another room, get a cab and even helped us look through the trash for a mistakenly (by us) tossed invasalign retainer. They honestly turned a bad day into a good one. Would stay here again in a heartbeat....

This B&B is in a great location; just minutes walk from Termini train station. There is a metro station just around the corner and buses can be caught from Termini to all around the city however it is also possible to walk into town. The room was nice and very clean, wifi was available. The bathroom was shared, but always...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
