We had a reservation for March and due to the covid-19 pandemic situation we decided to cancel the reservation. We cancelled on March 9th and we had the free cancellation until March 17th. At the time the hotel was very quick on their response and said that they will refun the money, but then started with excusses. Now we have been insisting on a daily bases but their phones are disconnetcted and they are not replying to emails for more than almost 4 months now. They simply are thieves and take advantage of a global crisis to keep their clients money. Mr Mark, i'm awaiting for my money back and at least an answer from you.
I'm in the exact same situation as "Anabela G". I had a reservation for March (from the 3rd to the 8th) and had to cancel on February 26th due to Covid-19. I had free cancellation until February 29th. I spoke to the same man named Mark and never heard from him again (or the hotel) after asking for my refund. They haven't been replying to emails nor phone calls, i've been trying to get to them for months. We want our money back, thieves.

We were completely happy with our stay at this small boutique hotel. I liked it better than an AirBnB. Here's why: the staff that checked us in gave us a map and twice went over where to go, and how to get around. Our cute room was super clean. There is maid service. The staff provides small snacks every day. The location is great, near the train station. There are plenty of good restaurants, bakeries, etc nearby. Walking distance to the Colosseum, Palatine Hill, Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain etc. The outside of the building is white and it does not look like a hotel. Take the lift to the third floor. It is a good deal and we would be happy to stay here again. Karen & Steve
When we did the check in the staff seemed very nice. The room was good, but the fact of not having a person in front desk was terrible, specially because we would like to do the check out before our tour in Rome and was not possible. We left a message to the guy informing that we would be returning and that bags were inside the room. When we arrived at hotel 1 pm our bags were removed from room and left in a non secure place! I do not recommend this place because people has no education or care with guests.
I booked this hotel back in March for an upcoming stay in 3 weeks time. It was pay on arrival. Last week, out of the blue, the hotel cancelled my reservation via booking.com. The reason being “invalid credit card”. I thought this was odd as there were no issues with my card. I was given 24hrs to add a new card which I did within a few hrs just to be done with it. 2 hrs later the second card was declined and the reservation cancelled. I double checked the card numbers and all the details. I phoned booking.com who said they would contact the hotel and email me when they responded. Whether or not they did I don’t know but I received no email from either. I contacted both banks who told me there were no security blocks and also there were no transaction attempts on either card - both which had sufficient funds to cover the entire stay, no less the verification amount. I contacted the hotel via booking.com’s app, and their response just repeated that the cards were invalid. I explained the above. I asked if I could try a direct link and pay in full as possibly the issue was with booking’s system. They just replied saying that I could try to book again - but of course the rates are much higher now. I contacted Booking.com again, via the app, and they insisted that they had requested the hotel reinstate my booking at the original rate, but the hotel did not respond. I can only assume (from reading other examples online) that, as we booked well in advance we received a lower rate, and the hotel wishes to free up rooms so that they can charge a higher rate as the date approaches, therefore cancelling lower paying guests’ reservations. If so, this is such appalling behaviour. I am beyond outraged and frustrated at this lack of service and unwillingness to put this right. And I now have to scramble for accommodation for my upcoming trip and pay a lot more than anticipated. …
Unprofessional behavior, they cancel our reservation 9 days before our trip. We made the reservation 2 months ago and the excuse for the cancelation was that they changed the management and they didn't know anything about it. We made the reservation via booking! Very bad communication. Stay away.
We had a great time. Very clean room & nice breakfast. close to everything. The breakfast was served in the room. Clean bathroom. Very helpful staff. Near to metro station. Hope to come again to your beautiful place.
The location is beyond convenient, very close to the Colosseum and city center. The room was clean. The toilet seat was broken, so was the window which was almost about to fall. Some of the rooms are looking towards an inner courtyard and it is a bit noisy in the mornings and there is no view. There is absolutely no reception in the hotel and you have to walk outside to have a phone conversation. The wifi also disappears every two minutes.
Rooms are in one of the typical big traditional apartment blocks on the third floor, no big sign outside. so you have to search carefully for the names on the board of occupants outside when you think you have found the right address (took us quite a while). There is a lift if you fancy it. Was clean (except for high bit of shower) simple and modern, air conditioning worked well. Our room faced the street which is cobbled so vans make a noise on it but did not bother us after fist night as we were so tired slept through anything. Breakfast brought on a tray to our room at requested time, simple with a choice of drink. Could not always get on wi-fi, no staff after about 6pm so make sure you know how to get in well before you arrive. Bed big and comfortable (two singles joined?) Shower worked well. Staff helpful when asked.…
