We stayed in this hotel as part of a 10 day tour of Italy, so we did not choose this hotel ourselves. We had a room on the first floor with a window facing the road. This made the room very noisy - rubbish was collected from large bins on the road under our window from midnight, deliveries of food...

We booked the Romanico Palace hotel because we thought the rooms looked very authentic and romantic. The classic room was disappointing as it looked very shabby but not in the chic way. With holes in the wall and a grimy shower. There were no amenities for tea/coffee in the room which you would expect for a 4 star rating establishment....

This was our second visit to Rome, we stayed here as it's away from the hustle and bustle of the centre but 15 minutes away from many historic sites. We arrived a little early to check in but we was able to leave our bags with reception. We was shown to our room and given a quick briefing how things...

Booked the hotel as it looked like a nice romantic central place. The room was nice but very small with very little space to put things. I booked a deluxe room so expected a bit more. It was clean enough but a bit tired looking. The shower was rubbish and dissapointing as it had the extra spray shower heads but...

Good value city hotel with staff that could not do enough to help....Stella especially was fantastic! My only gripe was that our room was down a rabbit warren of corridors and up a separate elevator...not ideal when the room key didn't work twice. Plenty of choice at breakfast with 6 fresh juices to choose from along with various cold meats,...

My partner and I decided a city break with Jet2 and the Hotel Romanico Palace was part of the package. We were delighted with the choice, this hotel was over 200 hundred years old but was in great condition very well maintained. On our arrival we had the warmest welcome you could get warm and natural. Once checked in concierge's...

We stayed 4 night in the Romanico. Great weather, wonderful city...we had a fantastic stay! The hotel is well situated from Termini (hurrah for sat nav phones!) and the many sights of the city. This place is no palace. Stayed here twice with Insight Vacations as a solo traveler and simply could not recommend it. Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.
