We booked there 5 nights because the location is really good right next to Termini Station and other facilities. The hotel is really old, I would said they have 2 stars in standards. Our bed matress was so hard, that we needed to go get back-painkillers in a droug store to survive during the day and sleeping pills for the...

The hotel is just 100 mts from the Rome Central Termminal which makes it very very very nice option to stay if u wan to stay near train station. The hotel is situated on first floor so its difficult to reach there as no elevator till there so u drag urself and ur luggage upto there on narrow stairs which...

Great location, both metro lines pass through Termini station which is just outside the front door meaning getting to all areas of interest was simple. Traffic was a big problem as a main road is right outside however, the windows were very good and kept out most of the noise. Church bells do go off at about 6am which can...

it's better to find another place than here. you can see dust in the mirror and desk. we started to scratch all the time after going under the linens. only positive thing is the position. near the station Termini, and bus shuttle station to go to the airport.

We stayed here for my fiance birthday which i had booked in due to its great location and price.....but with regrets! First all we had done two bookings to extend our stay, I had emailed them (which never got replayed to) and i called them twice to confirm that they understand we need one room for a longer stay (which...

The location is so very very perfect, just beside the very big Termini station, and then it is ok to live there like if we were camping. The rooms are very old and everything very old, but nice clean. The doors are terrible, they cannot close without waking up the hole floor. The showers are very old but also ok....

The only good thing about this hotel is the convenient location, as it is close to Termini and there is a convenience store on the opposite of the street. I stayed at room 33, which was a quadroom. This room was much smaller than the quadroom next to it. Also the bathroom was dirty. I didn't really feel like showering...

We stayed in this hotel for 5 nights during our visit to Rome. The location is perfect! It takes only a couple of minutes to get there from Termini station, which makes it convenient to arrive, get around and depart. However, due to the location there was traffic noise and the church bell woke us up every morning around 6...

Incredibly noisy. Every door has a snap close device that creates a resounding boom every time a door is closed. The doors also all have big gaps at the bottom so that the noise in the hallway is sure to make you feel like you are in the hallway. Even turning the key in the lock makes an enormous noise....

paid 30 euros for a night in a single with a shared bathroom. It was fine and is perfectly located outside the Termini Station and the bus stop for transfer to the airport. Reception is 24 hours - i had to leave at 4.30am. The reception staff spoke good english, provided a map and a discount voucher for the pizza...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
