We stayed for 4 nights in Aug 2010 and found the hotel and facilties to be excellent. The rooms were very tastefully furnished and kept extremely clean and tidy. The housemaids were very helpful and obliging. All rooms are fully air condtiioned which was a godsend! The hotel is situated not far from Termini Station, which was excellent. The surrounding...

I have just returned from staying in the YES Hotel for 3 nights with a friend and we are so pleased that we chose to stay there. The hotel is very modern, clean and the staff are really helpful. It is in a quiet street only a few minutes walk to the Termini and bus stations and we felt safe...

Stayed here for two nights in a family room. The hotel is excellent - clean, modern, extremely helpful staff and the location is great (a couple of minutes walk from the Central Train Station). It is a small hotel but compares very favourably to larger chains but with far better service. My only criticism is the room was small for...

We had 2 triple rooms for 6 people. The staff were exceptionally helpful, especially Marcello! The hotel was very nice for a 3 star rating - the neighborhood was a little sketchy, but it's close to the train station, so what can you expect. We were out only until 10:00 pm, and it didn't feel unsafe at all at that...

The Yes hotel is very close to the main train station in Rome, well within walking distance. Very standard accommodations with clean rooms; small bar which sells water, beer and coffee; breakfast is served until 10am which is a little early for me unfortunately. The staff here was amazingly helpful and polite as I was massacring the Italian language. The...

Hotel is modern with plenty of room for family of 4 (2 separate shower areas in the bathroom).Beds were comfortable and room very quiet. Front desk was manned 24hrs and all the staff were friendly and professional. Breakfast was included and nothing was lacking. Hotel is only about two blocks from the train and metro stations (ignoring google instructions). If...

Pros: The hotel was clean, it was a short walk to the train station, and the breakfast staff was very nice. If you prefer a more authentic area, you will probably like it. There are very few tourist walking in the area and at the two or three surrounding restaurants. Cons: The area from the train station to this hotel...

We ended our Italy trip with three nights at this hotel and couldn't have been happier with how it worked out. In the intense heat of Italy's summer, this hotel actually believed in real air conditioning. The room for our family of four was great.--two separate bedrooms with very comfortable bedding and a small refrigerator in each room. The location...

This is a good location to expore the sights of Rome. The hotel is clean and modern. The Metro is 2 minutes away, only costs 1 euro to get around. The sights are all very close togther, about 2 stops away from the hotel. If it wasn't so hot, we could have walked to the sights. Breakfast is basic, but...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
