The Hotel Indigo(R) Rome - St. George is a 5 star luxury hotel located in Via Giulia right in the historic centre of Rome amidst galleries, boutiques and workshops. Our 5 star luxury hotel perfectly blends modern comforts with hints of our neighbourhood story, as the original travertine marble walls and the murals celebrating the area's long history of artistic expression. At I Sofà Bar Restaurant & Roof Terrace, which moves to the top floor of the hotel during summer, our Chef handpicks seasonal ingredients and crafts farm-to-fork Roman recipes. Relax in our Roman bath including large whirlpool, sauna and Turkish bath at our wellness centre. Our outdoor event space suits 200, and we're walking distance from Pantheon, Vatican City, Castel Sant'Angelo, Piazza Navona, Campo de' Fiori and the Spanish Steps.

Our stay was almost perfect from the warm welcome at reception on arrival, to our lovely room with large balcony. The property is beautiful, including a fantastic rooftop bar/restaurant with an impressive view of antique Roman rooftops. Location is amazing on the historic, but peaceful Via Guilia, steps from the Campo Di Fiori and the bridges over the Tiber river leading to Trastevere. Only small complaint would be with the quality of the breakfast offerings, although plentiful, nothing was very good. Even with the option of ordering a la carte, which was nice, food took forever to come out, and when it did it was prepared badly and cold. Poached eggs were hard-boiled and cold, etc. All in all though we had a wonderful stay in Rome and would return to the Indigo St. George gladly.

Excellent hospitality and staff were very helpful. I managed to get an early check in after arriving from the United States early in the morning, which was very much appreciated! The room was clean, quiet, and the bed was very comfortable. The restaurants were excellent, both the lobby breakfast restaurant as well as the rooftop.

We had a short stay at this lovely hotel but were very happy. The room was small but clean and well laid out. I love the neighborhood and how close the hotel is to many of the places we wanted to go. It was nice to have windows that opened. The breakfast was one of the nicer ones we've had on our trips to Italy, definitely worth adding to your reservation. Our concierge Orietta was incredibly helpful with a reservation for dinner and arranging a ride to the airport. I would definitely stay again.

We are 3 friends who travelled to Rome for the weekend. Indigo was a fab choice! So very close, walking distance from main attractions like Piazza Navona or Fontana di Trevi. Rooms were comfortable, modern, colourful and very clean. Delicious breakfast. Staff - absolutely excellent, from day 1 till the end! Do try the roof terrace - especially by night.

Contrary to my previous impression on any Hotel Indigo, this one at the St. George Roma is giving me the best staying experience. To summarize, the hotel seems to be reconstructed from an old building, like most hotels in Rome, but it’s done a great job. 1. My room is extremely clean and well maintained. The best experience is how comfortable the beds and the pillows are, beyond my normal expectation. Very stylish, with all nice amenities, biscotti, espresso maker and kettle for water boiling, plus a minibar. 2. The concierge desk is going extra miles to help guests for what they need. In my case, I emailed the hotel, before arrival, about finding me a COVID RT-PCR test for my scheduled return flight back to Canada. Without further questions, Miss Oretta Ragazzoni of the concierge desk, returned my email within two hours, with a COVID PCR rest reservation with the optimal date/time and very reasonable cost from a lab. She is a non-nonsense lady, just trying to get things done to satisfy the guests. I am so impressed. 3. The hotel is located near the east bank of Tiber River, 15 min walk to either the Vatican City or Piazza Navona. It’s in a back alley, via taxi. The concierge desk buzzes a taxi for you in need. I highly recommend this hotel, and I definitely want to stay here again in my next trip back to Rome.
