Found and booked this hotel on the back of Trip Advisor reviews. Our first trip to Rome and whilst not centrally located, I selected this hotel due to ease of transport links and close to the Vatigan. Hotel staff helpful and efficient. Hotel spotlessly clean. Double room and ensuite similar to a conference style bedroom in that it was functional...

I will recommend this hotel. Very nice and clean. Rooms excellent and wi-fi very good. Staff very friendly and nice breakfast. When I visit again I will book in this hotel. It is a 5 minutes walk from the Vatican and there are many trattorias and restaurants near this hotel. There even a church exactly near the hotel. Also there...

I will give the positives first! The hotel is in an excellent location for accessing the Vatican, the railway station and the 64 bus! Plenty of hot water and fresh towels were available. Internet access is excellent in all areas of the hotel. The breakfast provided was very good with hot and cold options, better than in some other Roman...

I would recommend this place. Lovely room and so close to everything. You are a hop skip and a jump from the Vatican and everything else was well in walking distance. Clean and friendly staff. Close to some great places to eat too- La Vitorria is just a few steps down the street, authentic delicious Italian food very cheap.

This was a very comfortable hotel in a great location! As other reviews have indicated, the rooms are small - ours had two single beds, a desk, a wardrobe and two night stands. It was tight for two of us with multiple suitcases, but not unworkable. AC worked great! Bathroom is small. Shower is tiny - even smaller than most...

Stayed here as part of a pilgrimage. Usually prefer something a bit more luxurious. Had been told that the residence was closing for six months for a complete refurbishment. Didn't see any sign of this. Rooms were very small for two people and had obviously been designed for one person. Shower room was tiny and although cleaned on a daily...

We stayed here with a group on pilgrimage. Normally, if booking for ourselves, we would have looked more up-market (our first visit to Rome was earlier this year for a business conference and we were put up in the Waldorf Hilton). A former religious house, right next door to a church, this is a few minutes walk from the Vatican...

Hotels in Rome? Don't expect miracles. Even the budget end is over-priced but if you want to visit the Vatican and are on a pilgrimage, a religious residence is a good solution you may not have considered before This would explain the success of the website Monastery Stays for example. The environment may be too sedate for some, but let's...

The staff here is wonderful. I arrived on a hot July day and was welcomed by a very friendly man who helped me get my keys and wifi sorted. On my second day there was a problem with the wifi, but as I needed it to confirm future travel plans the very kind man working at reception helped me to...

I have been staying here for about ten years. We stay for the start of our trip in Rome and then return for the night before our flight out. I'll start with the good - the location can't be beat, close to many great restaurants, a pub a few doors up the hill, a mini-mart close by, and the taxi...
