    This hostel is located next to Saint Mary Major Basilica, about one half mile from Termini. The rooms are basic but they are clean and inexpensive. The breakfast buffet is delicious. As an added bonus, there is a Chapel in the hostel.

    how does one make reservations at the convent? I have read that they do not respond well to email inquiries?

    I emailed them and got responses without problems. It sometimes took a couple of days but they always responded. You can also phone them.
