From the moment we entered this hotel we received a lack of hospitality and customer service. We were told that our euros were fake and when we detested this the man on reception then decided to unwillingly take our money. Later on that same evening the same member of staff ran out and shouted as us in the hallway for pressing the buzzer for too long, which we felt quite embarrassed by and the only reason we had repressed was he buzzer is due to no response the first time. The rooms are extremely old fashioned and the carpet was stained. The toilet was stained and dirty on arrival, and we had been provided with towels that also had stains. There was no information left in the room in regards to the hotel itself so we were unaware of any policies. We were also not provided with any information from reception upon arrival in regards to any breakfast options or check out times. The only good thing about this hotel is the location as so closely situated to the metro station. I would recommend spending a little extra and staying elsewhere.…
It was very economical and the hotel is very near to the Metro station. The breakfast was very good. The staffs were very polite and helpful. I recommend Hotel Laura for all the travellers who aspire to visit that great city. Hotel Laura will be a be a best choice.
Hotel Laura is situated near the Piazza Bologna and the Metro station. Only three stops away from the main train station. It’s based on the fourth and fifth floors of an apartment block. There is the option of breakfast but I didn’t choose this so can’t comment on that. Check-in was fine. Staff are helpful. Room was good for the price (single room), bed was comfortable. TV included and power sockets were adequately placed around the room. Air-con and fan was a plus. En-suite had a good shower, no problems. I think it’s worth the amount you would pay for, so recommended.
The hotel is located in the Piazza Bologna which is about 3 kms from the city center. The best thing about the hotel is its proximity to the Bologna metro station - which is RIGHT at the door of the hotel. Metro is the easiest way to travel around the city, thus living so close to the station was was a great convenience. The hotel itself is very clean and comfortable. We booked a Quad Room as we are a family of 4 adults. There was one double bed and two single beds accommodated in the room with enough space left over to walk and place 4 trolley bags. The was a refrigerator and a TV in the room and a two-door cupboard. The sheets were changed everyday and the washroom was small but clean and well-equipped. The breakfast was less than satisfactory, as they only has sweet buns/croissants, bacon, cheese and butter/jams, tinned fruit and juices. There were no savory bread, no eggs or any other kind of meat salami which rendered the menu quite limited. A plus about the breakfast area is that its open all day where hot water and cups are available to make your tea or coffee with your own ingredients. Over all, its a small but well-maintained property with polite staff. Great value for the money - roughly 90 EURO per night.…
I chose the hotel because of the good location right next to the metro-Station Bologna. But thats all it has to offer. In the fridge there was a moldy open can of ....well...i dont even know. They didnt change the sheets of the bed. The roller blinds and also the air condition didnt work. And the Wifi was very weak.
