We arrived quite earlier than we were supposed to, but it was no problem and we were greeted by a bubbly, happy receptionist named Jennifer, I believe, who was very friendly and very helpful with accommodating us and making sure we got breakfast the next day because we were going to be up and out before the breakfast hour started....

Perfect hotel for a city get-away: reasonably sized room, comfortable bed, fast WiFi (they even provide a laptop!), very clean, nice bathroom, very friendly and accommodating staff. Location was the most important factor for us: the hotel is 5 min away from the Termini station (direct link to the airport with Leonardo express (30 mins) and train connections to other...

My girlfriend booked this lovely B&B situated very close to the Terminus as a surprise for our anniversary. We arrived a bit early however the lady at the reception desk still checked us in and offered us the room before the normal check in time which we really appreciated since we were up since 5.30 am. She also took our...

Myself and my wife and our 4 friends (who are also couple) stayed at the Aelius B&B in Feb 2016. It was perfect!! We had three bedrooms with spacious clean on-suites. Which opened up into a joint kitchen dinner. Where we could sit, chat and socialise. The reflection desk for the B&B was also located in this area and the...

The service was very friendly and having a vegan breakfast was also possible, which made us really happy! We had a laptop in our room, which we didn't use that often, but it's a good opportunity to save your photos or upload them. The room was clean and cosy, the bed veeeery comfortable!!!

We stayed for 3 nights in this b&b. It is only a few (7?) rooms in a big traditional built building. The rooms are good and complete furnished. The staff is very friendly. A big plus is the location: only 10 min from termini station (with a direct line to the airport) and 20 min to trevi fountains in the...

We booked this B&B for a one night stop in Rome at the beginning and at the end of our 9-day road trip in Italy. We wanted something good and reasonably priced close to Termini so that we could pick up our rental car the next day of our arrival. GREAT location, just a straight walk from Termini, and the...

The B&B is good, but do not take the airport transfer. I was alone and arriving late, but the driver was almost an hour late and did not carry a sign with my name. I had to call the reception at the B&B to find him. Then the driver could not find the B&B. The rate for the transfer was...

I was right on target when I stayed at Aelius. I wanted a safe, clean, quiet and reasonably priced accommodation near the Termini. Aelius was all that and surprisingly, more. The staff also were so professional and very helpful and friendly. There is no central place for eating but Breakfast was served in my room, and there was coffee and...

Stayed here for 1 night after a cruise, waiting to catch our flight home. The owner and staff couldn't be nicer and accommodating, even helping us carry our very heavy suitcases up 1 flight of stairs. Elevator is one flight up from ground floor. For one night, it was great. Unless you're on a tight budget, I wouldn't see myself...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
