The hotel lies perfect between Vatican and central Rome. We had three rooms (2 doubles and a single). The rooms were clean, the breakfast "italian style" (as long as you're in for sweets and coffee, you'll be fine). The environment is load: street and bars - so either sleep with windows closed or bring something to plug your ears. It's...

The Hotel Prati is a small hotel well positioned as a base for a weekend I'm Rome. The SIT airport transfer bus from Fuminino stops a 5 min walk away so getting there is easy (6 Euros per person), it is a 10 min walk form the metro so getting into central Rome is easy (1.5 Euro per journey) and...

This is my fifth stay here. The location (close to the Vatican and metro stops) makes this a super location. Additionally, as noted by many others, the staff is very kind and helpful. I have had a couple of different emergencies in the past and they have worked diligently helping me resolve them. Small rooms and super small showers do...

This hotel was a huge disappointment for the 4 couples that had booked in it. When comparing reviews to where we normally stay the Casa Valdese (not available) we thought this was a good alternate choice we were wrong. The only two positive things that can be said about this property is the location and the helpfulness of the staff....

Dear Guest, we are sorry that you were hugely dissappointed staying at our hotel, but i would like to remind you that we are a 2 star hotel and not a 3 hotel as you wrongly wrote in your comment. May be, when you made the reservation, you thought you were booking another hotel, that's why you wrote "vastly overrated"....

We were a group of 8 that stayed 6 nights in Rome. We knew we were booking a budget hotel but were so pleasantly surprised at the 4 star service of the front desk. They were super helpful with restaurant recommendations, even making reservations for us on the phone (with a group of 8 that's a must!), what bus to...

We stayed at the Hotel Prati for 3 nights in October and would definitely recommend! It's a budget hotel, so if you're expecting luxurious rooms then this is not the place for you. However, the room was very clean and included free wifi and a hair dryer. There was also a decent continental breakfast available. The receptionist was extremely helpful...

We went to Rome for the weekend. Initially we were a bit disappointed about the size of the hotel and room but the man in reception more than made up for this. We asked for more pillows and some tea, as we had arrived late. Despite tea being unheard of in Rome (coffee only in most places) he went out...

We knew we were staying in a two star hotel from the website. We used other comments from trip advisor plus the location to choose here. The fellas could not do enough for us. The room was excellent, clean, well appointed. If you want all the trimmings then pay for them don't expect champagne for a beer price, however if...

We stayed here for 2 nights. It is a great location. The front desk showed us how to take the bus to the colosseum and back. There is breakfast included / croissants and yogurt, juice and coffee. The elevator is comically small! It is best suited or anyone who can't walk up a few stairs, or maybe just sending your...

We spent three nights at this hotel and the day concierge, Fabio was a delight. He was patient, spoke well and helped us getting around and made recommendations. Our room was very small but we only needed a place to sleep and the bed was comfortable. The room was cleaned everyday and the cleaning staff were always polite. Free wifi...

Staying in Prati

Neighbourhood Profile
Just steps away from the chaos of the centre, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighbouring Borgo, Prati is a local favourite for its aesthetic organisation and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
