We stayed here in a nice suite with family. The location is just perfect - via Nazionale, just right in the middle from all major sightseeing by walk. Helpful staff. Had some problems with wi-if and had to watch Italian TV all evening :)

I booked this room for my adult son who decided to join us last minute on our trip to Rome. There was no availability in our hotel, but I found Domus Livia virtually opposite. The location is great, just a few minutes from the Metro (Republica) and a 15 minute walk from Termini main train station. Many of the sights... More

We've just spent 3 nights here with our 7 and 9 year old boys. The location, cleanliness and friendliness of the staff couldn't have been better. However, the word 'luxury' should not be used to describe the rooms. The decor was very dated and tired, and the beds were incredibly hard (I recommend putting blankets under the sheets). The children... More

Hard beds that make your hips hurt, bedspreads with white marks, cold showers because they forgot to turn the hot water on, toilet seats loose, no staff around from 7pm - 8 am, stale rolls for breakfast ..... No luxury here other than location!

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
