Our daughter treated us to a weeks holiday in Rome! She had stayed at Trianon Borgo Pio with her husband and children in 2005 and absolutely loved it. We were also delighted with it. We stayed 5 nights. Very comfortable, spacious and clean room. Lovely balcony for breakfast with St Peter's Basilica in close view. Beautiful! Staff very friendly, knowledgable...

The location and the staff friendly and helpful. The apartment was spacious enough for five with 2 bedrooms and a sitting area that consisted of a sofa. We had a leak in the kitchen from the fridge and the staff were very good about fixing up the problem and offered us to move apartments. But we were only staying the...

The apartments were fabulous! We stayed six nights. Very centrally located just a 5-minute walk to the Vatican and St. Peter's. Many restaurants and shopping within easy walking distance. A market 1/2 block away with anything you may need. A great coffee/bakery also 1/2 block away. The staff were great in helping us get around Rome. The apartment was roomy...

We had a very nice stay in The Trianon Borgo Pio Residence nearby the old center and the St.Peters square. We had a clear 1 bedroom apartment with kitchen on the first floor we only used it for making coffee or tea because there are a number of very nice trattoria's and a pasticceria nearby.

I stayed Trinon Borgo Pio Residence in Rome with my family for 4 nights in the end of December, 2013 having the long trip from Japan. Thanks to the kind staff and clear rooms, we had spent a great time and made many good memories for Rome. Only one thing which made us nervas was that a transporation to Fiumichino...

Stayed for 6 nights with our 2 teenage boys: Location: 5 mins walk to St. Peter's Square and vatican. 20-25 mins to Pantheon and old city centre. Very enjoyable walk to the old city centre, we did it 3 times in 6 days. Rooms: Big and spacious but cleanliness was an issue. Lot of lint and dust, housekeeping is on...

We found Trianon Borgo Pio to be a great choice for our stay in Rome. We had just finished a tour of Italy and had 3 extra nights in Rome to finish up our holiday. We had a 2 bedroom apartment with a kitchen. Not that we used it as there were a number of very reasonable trattoria's extremely close...

When in Rome ... the place did the job, the location is fantastic if you want to be near the Vatican and, depending on your fitness and willingness to get around, literally within walking distance of everywhere. Th apartments are nice enough and adequate. If you measure by American standards of comfort, the beds are hard and the sowers tiny...

Thank you for your review, which is definitely useful to improve our services, I was sorry to read your comment about myself not helping you to contact Lufthansa, episode which I don’t remember, as for me, customer service towards our guests is a priority, also for all the staff at Trianon borgo pio is always been like this. We recently travelled to Rome with our three sons and spent four nights in a two bedroom apartment. It was like a home away from home. The staff were very welcoming and the location was very quiet, close to the Vatican as well as other attractions in Rome. Will definitely return here!

One of the nicest places we've stayed. Not super posh or swish, but really comfortable, homely and a great place from echo to explore this fabulous city. Also reasonably quiet which can be hard to find in the bustle of Roma. We would rush back.

Staying in Vatican / Borgo

Neighbourhood Profile
Vatican / Borgo
Frocked priests, colorful Swiss Guards, insistent souvenir shop owners, flag-waving tour guides, and pilgrims from around the world. This is the Vatican and Borgo, Rome's most recognized neighbourhood which acts as Vatican City's front yard. Aside from the souvenir boutiques and a few food spots, the only business conducted here is papal. In the daytime, the tiny medieval sector bustles with holy activity, as visitors vie for elbow room, or stand in line for a visit. Once the sun sets, the neighbourhood is transformed into a quiet and picturesque hamlet.
