Stayed there three times with my family, with my friends in summer, autumn and on the NY holidays.
Always felt myself like at home.
Friendly staff, nice, clean and cozy rooms. Tasty breakfast.
It is located not far from railway station/metro station Termini.
I choose to stay at San Marco because of price and the number of reviews. I am a walk in customer and did not booked online. I am also particular about the pictures took by other felllow reviewers in TripAdvisor. So my stay was convenient....More

An easy walk from Rialto c on the water taxi from near Rialto bridge. From San Marco square it is one bridge to cross then on left the hotel. All tourist sites, restaurants and shops covered via the alley ways that are a maze.

Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up
basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.

The Termini is only about a 10 minute walk from the Hotel. The streets are reasonably busy and there are lots of hotels in the area. We felt absolutely safe and had no problems - day or night - with our safety when walking... More
