Only one person speaks proper english. The neigbourhood was terribly frequented and everytime you go out you smell weed, not to mention that you could be robbed... It has a nice location near Roma Termini but that is basically it. And the bathrooms wore really small... We paid 180€ for 4 nights plus the city tax 3,50€ per person, per...

The location was terrifying! We were in the most sketchy place I can imagine. There was spray paint all over the building and scary people all around the area. This area was NOT SAFE at all and I would avoid it at all cost. The building was under construction which made it even harder to navigate. The room was 'ok'...

My party attended this B&B but on the way there were so concerned about the local neighborhood that they immediately did not feel safe. The streets are not very clean, the walls everywhere seem plastered with graffiti and local residents lurk around the streets, in places, in groups that look like they are homeless and destitute. The lift in the...

Terrible.. Avoid this place.. Worst location .. Not a safe neightberhood.. Of its for free dont go there.. Approaching the hotel itself is a disaster.. First you have to cross group of gangsters then.. Go in a dull lobby then take a tiny elevator with bad smells of the building.. Avoid it

When we arrived in Termini station, the "hotel" is very close. The main door address leads to a big brown door full of paint surrounded by a mob of people on the way. It was totally a nightmare to find the hotel as we didn't believe this was ours until we asked two different individuals. At check-in we where asked...

My family stayed here recently as we were looking for reasonably priced accommodation near Termini Station as we were leaving Rome the following day. We had been put up together at a different building further down the street to the address we had been given, where,as has been mentioned already, a large, but appeared to be harlmless, group of people hovered...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
