hotel location is very central, very easy to Access public transportation and also almost walking medium walking distance (20-25 mins ) to most touristic places. staff is helpfull, breakfast of the hotel is not in the hotel building, but 2 mins walking outside of the hotel building, so it's not very practical to have your coffee and croissant first and...

For the price, this was everything that we needed. It's not fancy, but completely adequate. We had our own bathroom. The staff was excellent with us. Not all spoke English, but those who did were exceptionally helpful. They allowed us to drop off our things early before it was time to actually check into our room so that we could...

Excellent location, a few steps from Termini station, our room was very spacious and the beds comfortable. This is not a hotel but one of the numerous B & B established in a building. The entrance of the building is far from being inviting but once you are in your room, it is fine. You take your included continental, breakfast...

Nice, spacious room (#14) facing back yard, so the noise was kept down when sleeping with window open. Everything was clean and weel-kept. mini fridge was mini with no shelves, but enough space had cool wine and cheese. Wi-fi worked well, a thing to be expected when advertized, but not always so. Staff friendly and hospitable, but only the Asian...

A small basic, budget hotel directly across from the Termini Station in Rome. We had everything we needed for a short stay. Close to Metro, all buses and some really good restaurants. Felt safe walking around. We really enjoyed the authentic Roman breakfast (coffee/cappuccino and croissant) at a nearby cafe each morning. Heartily recommend the chocolate filled croissant! We received...

We had one night in Rome on our way on to Tuscany and this hotel was ideal. So close to Termini station where the bus from the airport dropped us and from where we left by train next day. Friendly staff (though it is a good idea to have a mobile phone in case they have popped out) and the...

I had already made a lot of research about the best value accomodations in Rome so I knew that Art Mary was the best option. The street that the hotel is located is easy to find. It is right in front of the Termini Station, which is great if you are thinking about visiting another city. Just take your suitcases...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
