I have booked a room for 4 friends of mine, since they do not have a credit card, through the hostelbbokers.com. When my friends contacted the hotsel to arrange the details, the hostel asked for more money than it seemed in hostelbookers.com. My friends decided to cancel the reservation, and we sent an e-mail 7 days before the check in....

Stayed there for 3 nights. staff is OK and helpful. following are pros and cons of staying there. Pros: cheap, clean, close to roma termini Cons: you can hear the street noises all night and noises from the next room, did not get hot water in the shower and shower was broken. had to use common area shower which the...

Awful place! We have really small expectations and just need a place to sleep but even for this you don't want to stay here. On first sight the room looked ok but the 'bed' was a pull out couch more than worn out. We endet up putting the thin matress on the floor to not have out backs killing us....

Overall, I have to say this was a nice hostel very close to the Roma Termini station. They market themselves as a "party hostel," but the rooms are quiet and they contain the party to a bar that is associated with the hostel. The facilities are very nice and the staff was nice. The shared bathrooms were really small with...

Good location and WiFi worked, those are the only good points, the rest, just terrible. I stayed for 2 nights in the room number 9. The bathroom, had vain but not window so will be able to listen every whisper coming from the street, fortunately it's not very busy at night. One wall of the room had a massive moisture,...

Hostel has basic facilities and a great central location. We stayed here for a week and had countless problems with the reception staff. The male staff member was particularly rude and attempted to blackmail us into leaving a good review online, no thanks! DO NOT stay here if you are young and want to meet people or socialise. If you...

OK, Hotel Beaufutful, is not exactly Beautiful, but I hae stayed there every year for about 10 years now and (final) felt compled to review it. People need to realise that for the price and location they are getting an absolute bargain. It you want luxury, you'll pay 4 times as much and have a hard time finding the place....

We stayed in Hotel Beautiful II. Relatively clean, great location for value for money (short walk into the city). The room was quite dark but very roomy considering it was a room for 4. We booked a mixed room but they offered us a single sex (female) room on arrival. The only downside being that it was up 4 sets...

We found the service at hotel beautiful 2 to be far below what we had experienced elsewhere in Europe. While most things (except the lock on our door!) worked the placed just seemed to be lazily run with frequent problems. Staff were nice but seemingly a bit incompetent. I wouldn't recommend it.

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
