Close to termini station. You can easily reach all the major attractions on foot. Very convenient for day trips as well. Nice rooms & excellent stuff (owners, reception, breakfast). This quaint bed and breakfast was a lovely find and affordable stay near the metro and train station. The proprietor has so many fine touches that it feels like home. I.e. bottled water in the rooms with fresh fruit. Wonderful towels and big, fluffy pillows. They serve a nice breakfast with a very sweet wait staff. I felt very safe...

Came to Rome sporadically. The trip was unplanned, however we had a vague idea we wanted to stay here, due to a blog I had read. As an airline employee, we don't always get on the flights we want to, so we did not book in advance in case that happened, and just showed up at their door step. They...

This is a nice and cozy family-run B&B. They offer welcome fruit for guests. I'm especially impressed with their staff, who are friendly and helpful to give out the information about Rome. The breakfast is of great value, with a wide selection of salad, Italian ham, toast, fruit. Overall I enjoyed my stay.

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
