This is an old villa which has been refurbished and turned into a cute boutique hotel. It is located away from the main walled city but is just 1 stop away from it on the metro. Dr Alexandro who owns the place was very helpful with showing us how to get around town and also gave us a free upgrade...

Beautiful cleans rooms with very comfortable beds. And a great location. Only 1 stop on the tube from central Rome. Just bear in mind it's not a hotel. Not a problem for us but it's a bedroom with an ensuite in a house. So nowhere to go and have breakfast which is a little odd as it arrives on a...

Arrived on Friday evening to be greeted by the friendly owner Alex. He immediately showed us where to go for a late evening meal and other information regarding rome. The 1st room we stayed in was quite small and the layout of the ensuite was poor but otherwise the room clean and fresh. The 2nd room we stayed in was...

Converted mansion which was formerly the South African Embassy. While we had one of the smallest rooms, we were made to feel most welcome and the building is being lovingly restored. Three of the five rooms were being worked on while we were there, but there was no disruption or noise and we enjoyed a very low room rate. Only...

This hotel is really rather lovely. It is set one tube stop outside of the city centre. It's a residential area, very quiet and peaceful. Superb range of restaurants nearby where you will find only Italian diners. Suite Oriani is a delightful gem and Allessandro is a wonderful host. He really takes great care to assist your stay providing leaflets...

Suite Oriani is an excellent place to stay, it is beautiful and nothing seems to be too much trouble for Alessandro and his lovely Housekeeper Elana..... Set in a quiet suburb and only a short walk to the metro, then one stop into the centre of Rome, this was ideal. There are some great restaurants a short walk away too...

Suite Oriani lived up to the reviews here! Do take the taxi reservation service from & to the airport - faster, more comfortable & not much more expensive. Our room (1) was on the ground floor, spacious, comfortable & kept immaculately clean by Elena who also served our copious breakfast in the room. Alessandro welcomed us & provided local maps....

The manager was extremely helpful and very friendly. We felt like we lived in Rome for a week. Their housekeeper was very nice and friendly and she made us feel very comfortable staying there, too. We also loved the neighborhood authentic (!) Italian restaurants which you hardly see "tourists." Even so, they have English menu and people speak English well....

Small, soulful hotel with an incredibly helpful hotel manager (Alessandro) that made our Rome trip unforgettable! We will definitely come back! Location is good and breakfast is served on the room. Area is safe and rather quiet!

A beautifully restored and maintained property this is well situated away from the masses and crowds that is Rome! Close by some pretty outstanding dining as well. Allessandro's quiet attention and willingness to help arrange transportation and reservations was simply outstanding. Recommend that you accept his gracious offer to arrange shuttle transport to and from the airport--priceless. His anticipation of...

Staying in Parioli

Neighbourhood Profile
Parioli
Young and well-to-do families are the street flavour of Parioli. A new kind of Rome, this area is centuries away from the Renaissance with its pockets of 1930s palaces, tony boutiques, open-air markets and plenty of coffee shops. Parioli was built as an enclave for last century’s haute bourgeois and still represents as such in 21st century Rome. Need a break? The area has several great sporting clubs known for tennis and riding, a wonderful modern art museum, easy access to the zoo (Europe’s oldest), and is nestled around Rome’s very best parks including Villa Borghese, Villa Ada and Villa Glori.
