Twenty of us stayed here on sporting trip. Hostel was perfect for the budget and location excellent near the train station. Rooms were very clean a mix of 2 to 6 bed dorms and we had one floor to ourseleves (apart from the staff who werfe in adjacent room) and part of the ground floor. It is not a typical...

The hotel to begin with is a little confusing. The hotel was relatively easy to find from the train station but once we found it we were checked in and taken around the corner to where our shared apartment was. We shared a kitchen and bathroom but never actually saw the residents of the other room. Our room (which had...

When we first arrived to the hostel, the staff was very friendly and helpful. We were surprised to hear that the two bed room with private bathroom which we booked was in totally different building than the `reception`. We were not informed about this beforehand. The actual room was ok and clean and located at the quiet side of the...

This is a small Hostel, which is made up from one apartment only. The location is the best part of it, just about five minutes walking from the termini where you can easily go to any spot in Rom. the place is good and clean with a majority of girls in it, but it is good place and i made...

The only reason why this review isn't terrible is that the room was kept clean as was the bathroom. The room at the hostel I stayed at when I chose to stay an extra day in Rome was better furnished than my room at the B&T Rooms. The hostel's free breakfast was a ticket for a coffee and pastry from...

We stayed at the hostel for 3 nights in the summer and frankly were pleasantly surprised with this hostel, especially since at this price we didn't expect much. We requested two rooms as we were a party of 3 guys and 5 girls and this couldn't have worked out better as we were accommodated in a flat with two rooms,...

Convenient location, secure too (you need quite a few keys to get in!). Hostel was very clean, a lot cleaner than some upmarket hotels. Diana - the manager was very friendly and helpful and always asked if everything was OK (something big hotels could learn from). There was good heating too. The road outside could be a bit noisy but...

Just stayed 4 nights at this quaint little place. There are a total of 5 rooms and a shared bathroom that has 2 private toilets with private showers. The rooms are basic - single beds with a desk and night stand. The place is decently located. A very very short walk to Termini Station (less than 5 min) and about...

This is a horrible place!! No privacy, even when you have a double room & the door locked! She would just come in whenever she felt like it. You get accused of doing stuff, even when you aren't in the building!! She moves your belongings around the room. Felt very uncomfortable here, as though we were in some ones house...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
