Welcome house is excellent for the price. We had a room overlooking the inner courtyard which was really quiet, it was not modern but everything was very clean and functional. Beds very comfortable and a large bathroom with shower over bath. Breakfast was delivered before 8 every morning (placed in a basket outside door) and consisted of 2 croisants and...

The hotel is located within an old style apartment, within a larger building that also has other hotels within it. The staff are very friendly and helpful, be careful to let them know your arrival time in advance as it does not have a permanent reception desk. The rooms are simple but charming with vintage furniture, but good new beds....

Welcome house was within walking distance from the central station and walking distance to all the sites in Rome. Room was basic but suited all our needs. Not many places to eat dinner nearby. Hostess was very sweet and accommodating. Rooms were a bit loud with noise from within the hotel but quiet from the street noise. I would stay...

Thank you very much for your great review. We regret for the inconvenience of the noise inside, certainly due for to neighbors or people passing along the corridor. Sometimes it can happen that people do not think that there are others who are sleeping. Waiting to meet you again in the future. Kind regards. Mrs. Marisa

Welcome House is ideally located for every tourist attraction in Rome. I have stayed previously and was so pleased that I stayed 10 nights again this time. Staff are super-helpful and friendly, and the rooms are kept spic & span. Best of all in a big city like Rome, Welcome House is a safe, quiet, clean and comfortable haven to...

Our stay at Welcome House was a great experience form beginning to end. Our flight got into Rome later in the evening so the staff was not around and we had to follow directions they had given us to access our room but overall it was pretty simple. They also recommended a great restaurant for us to try the first...

My husband and I stayed here during our trip to Rome. What a lovely place! Great location! As you come out you get shops/restaurants and even a pharmacy if there is an emergency. It's close to Termini station, metro(railway station), 15 minute walk from Spanish Steps & Trevi Fountain. The list is endless! Since it was the last part of...

- fresh breakfast included; - excellent location; 10-15 minutes walk to Colosseum, Piazza Venezia, Piazza Barberini and Termini station; - free wifi; - friendly personnel. It is very noisy during the whole night, coming from the street, however, when the windows is closed, the noise is significantly reduced.

We stumbled upon this hotel in this site whilst we were hotel hunting for our stay in Rome. It's almost always fully booked and we got in due to a cancellation. The rooms are old fashioned but it has character. It is comfortable, clean and served by excellent staff. Rome as a city is best experienced if you walk around...

Fab location within walking distance of everywhere. Decor a little tired but quaint. Helpful staff. Rock hard bed but extremely comfortable! Breakfast very basic, a bread bun and croissant, fresh juice and coffee. Bathroom a little dated but good shower and plenty of hot water. Only used it as a base to sleep, which is just as well as no...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
