The hotel's entrance is lower than road level. Their is no ramp for easy rolling of luggage so you have CARRY your luggage even if they have wheels. The rooms are okay. My children and I stayed in a relatively big room but lighting was very dim. The shower and toilet were passable. Ours was cleaned everyday. They didn't have...

Receptionists overall are rude (except one gentleman during the evening shift). Hotel is not convenient for families with babies, quarduple room is at the 4th floor, elevator (the slowest one in the world) goes up to 3rd. Then one has to carry luggage, prams, kids etc and "crawl" the narrow steps. They don't inform about this. Room is overall good....

Very rude staff except for one nice young woman. Horrible location, very scary area. The pictures on their site do not show the reality. Noisy. We were devastated on arrival but the hotel was prepaid by the agent. We had no choice but to stay there. Run away!!!!!!!!!!!

I was travelling with a student group, and while we got a pretty good value for the rooms, I would never even consider returning to this hotel alone. It's in an inconvenient location and our rooms were grubby and old. We had a double room 3 meters from the front desk on the ground floor, and our room was very,...

My bed was comfortable, the water pressure in the shower was great (and tons of hot water), the windows are double glazed so any street noise was really minimal. The staff was friendly & tri or quadrilingual. 25 minute walk to the Colosseum. I never waited more than 3 minutes for a taxi and the front desk was always happy...

I demanded a better room but I was told is nothing availableu until next...

The front desk assistance was HORIBLE ( beside one nice young man ) all the rest of the front desk people where impatient, rude, and just plain mean to us. The location although somewhat close to the metro station is a slum, in the room the heat was ether not working ( December!!! ) or too hot, you cannot control...

the hotel is 10 mins by walk from the Rome central station. the sleep quality is poor as the railway tracks are nearby and the local trains run frequently in the night. the rooms are reasonably good, the staff is freindly but the service and the dining is poor

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
