I arrived in Rome and got a bus for €5 to the main train terminal,( the buses run constantly) the hotel was easy to find on foot by exiting the terminal at Via Marsala and the hotel is located about 200 mtrs on the left, there is a big sign on the street corner. I felt the guy on reception... More

We stayed for two nights at Hotel Mirage purely based it's location 50m from Termini Train Station. All staff we dealt with from the hotel were exceptionally friendly and the hotel, our room and the breakfast room were very clean. The downside of the hotel unfortunately is that it is outdated. A little maintenance and make over is needed! Breakfast... More

This place urgently needs a big overhaul. Rubbish bins overflowing in foyer to lift. Lift doors really dirty and in need of a paint-job. No toilet paper or glass for drinking in room. Close to Termini station is an advantage, but that's about it.

The hotel is located quite close to the Termini station, with easy access to all kinds of public transport. It is also close to some of the Rome's historical objects. The Colosseum is less than 20 minutes walking distance from the hotel. The hotel is old and the furniture is outdated. The reception and the entrance to the rooms are... More

This hotel needs a lick of paint. Stairway and lift not very clean. Staff very friendly and helpful.Ideally situated for trains and buses. Mangrovia restaurant next door is brilliant 15 euros for 3 course meal.

This place is really close to the Roma Termini train station. We stayed one night as we just needed a place to stay before flying out. Overall it served its purpose and the free breakfast was edible. The fact that I get decent cheese and meat and freshly made espresso coffee make the breakfast acceptable to me. The room is... More

Poor room service..disgusting breakfast and room is very small. Air con doesn't work and it's a real pain in summer. Really needs a good renovation. Would not recommend the hotel to anyone. Staffs are average. The most annoying part of it is the noise from outside

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
