it is not a modern hotel but everything is clean and they were friendly en helpfull, the breakfast is simple but OK

I spent a great two days exploring central Rome from this friendly central hotel. Both the day staff and night staff at reception were very friendly and helpful, Giuseppe and Lidia especially. Hotel Cecil was the perfect hotel for our short break in Rome. We could easily walk to all the major sights - even the Coliseum was the furthest and that was only 20 minutes away. Low standard rooms with no mini bar or refrigerator. AC only too hot or too cold. Breakfast if you can call it brekfast only egg and cakes and plast wrapped in bread.
