We stayed at B & B Smart for 3 nights and would definitely return if we ever get to Rome again. We had no problems walking with our luggage from the termini station to the building ( abt. 7 min.) and taking it up the elevator to the B&B. Isabella answered all our e-mails promptly and completely and was a...

The room is cute with comfy beds. Updated individual bathrooms. The location is good, close to train station, shopping, eating, and colosseum. The best part of B anB smart is definitely Isabella. B&B Smart has to be one of the best lodging bargains in Rome! It's not grand, but everything is kept perfectly clean and the breakfast is more than enough. We found the location to be very convenient... close to the train station, within walking distance of many sights, and near good restaurants. The traditonal Italian restaurant just outside the B&B...

\We had a little trouble finding the place, but that may have been because we were unfamiliar with the city. We were welcomed by Isa right away, and she took time to explain the city to us and helped us plan a way to explore all of Rome in 2 days. Safe, clean, and great service with a nice little...

Isa was amazing, the room was amazing, and you can't beat the location with it being 2 streets away from the terminal. Isa provided us with 1.5 liter waters everyday for free, she welcomed us with fresh watermelon, made breakfast specific for us whenever we wanted it and brought it to our room! It was such a great experience! AC...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
