B&B Smart is located perfectly to all major public transportation. Arriving in Rome by train, it’s a five minute walk to the B&B. (Finding the exact building, for the first time, is a little tricky so get ready to call for assistance.) At the train station, you have access to the subway/metro system and most bus lines. Walking the couple...

OK I think its all been said, we paid Euro 72 per night for 3 nights (inc Tax) and for that you couldn't fault the accommodation. You are basically staying in a room in a flat on the fifth floor of a building 2 blocks from Termini station. Let Isabella know what time you expect to arrive and how you'll...

Location is great, very close to termini station, we felt safe as there is a police station a few block from the building. Room is comfy, clean and bright with private bathroom. Host is great and friendly, she gave us nice advice of where to visit. She tidied up our room everyday. Breakfast is good with varieties - coffee/tea, bread,...

We have travelled to Rome many times. We would be considered seasoned travelers in our late fifties. We have found the best plan for Rome is being close to the metro, a strong advantage for getting about. This stay we chose closer proximity to the termini finding this lovely bnb. It is run very well by the owner, clean, and...

Our family had a great stay here at B&B Smart. It is close to Roma Termini Train Station, with a safe 4 block walk. Isabella was a wonderful host. She ensures that you are happy with the services she is providing. The breakfast, served on a tray in your room has great variety and is filling. I love the jumbo...

I travelled with a family of three, including a 2.5 years toddler. Location - Fantastic. 3 blocks away from train station, located besides a police station. Safe neighbourhood. Within easy access to most of Rome attractions. By cab, it will cost you approximately 7 Euros one way. Service - Great. Isabella provided us with everything that we need to know...

Location great - just a short walk from termini train station and the metro. Our room was very clean and comfortable and Isabella provided us each morning with a simple but good breakfast of fresh fruit, boiled egg, brioche rolls and coffee. She was a most gracious and kind host who provided us with all the information we needed and,...

This place was great for us and the owner was very kind. It is 3 short blocks from Termini station and is an excellent location as a hub for your travels. The room was newly renovated, clean and actually quite large. We had an ensuing bathroom that was also a fair size and clean. There was air conditioning that we...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
