Luxurious marble. Even the man sweeping the courtyard wore a suit. The rooms had high ceilings and the doors and hallways were ornate. The windows were elegant and opened to a beautiful view of the street below. The hotel staff were warm and accommodating. I highly recommend this hotel. My only concern was getting locked IN the hotel when my...

You’re just a couple of minutes away from the first bust station just around the corner. If you choose to go on foot, then that’s fine too, everything is within reach in a short time. It’s definitely not a hotel, our room had the bathroom somehow just integrated awkwardly and divided with a thin wall with no door. Not a...

Positives: ++++ Rudolpho and Elena were absolutely awesome. They make this hotel better than it is. If it were not for them I would have rated the hotel as average. + Decent location Just for the record: • Internet was a little weak but worked fairly well • Bed was firm • No air conditioning Negatives: - tiny bathroom -...

We stayed here for 3 nights. Rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. Never get Breakfast in any cheap hotel in Italy because it's always just some crackers. One negative is that in de mornings there is a lot of noise coming from the hallways. But at these prices i will def stay here again.

Our room was very tiny much smaller as in photos you can find from hotels webpages or ebookers etc. Our rooms wall was painted and there was not hairdryer or minibar as they promised when I booked our room via ebookers. Never ever again to this hotel, totally cheat and was not what I booked and paid!!!

We had an ok stay in this hotel, looking at the map the location seems good but when we got there we thought it was actually a bit out of the way of the centre. It is good for access to the train station and some sights are in walking distance. However we decided to use the tour bus to...

My friends and I booked the newly available standard hostel dorm room for a few nights when travelling Europe. The room was basic but overall the hotel was extremely clean, the staff were very helpful and friendly and the hotel location was very central. It was certainly the best accommodation we availed of throughout our trip.

We booked this hotel with the idea that it was a hostel however it was a shock on arrival to find that it was very dissimilar to any hostel that we have previously stayed in resembling much more like a budget hotel but with 4 bed dorms. The location was great, surrounded by lots of restaurants and bars, only a...

When our hostel was a mess and we needed emergency accommodation - we ended up at Hotel Texas. At about 10pm we found Hotel Texas and asked at reception if there was any spare rooms for 2 people. Thankfully they found us a room at last minute and were so helpful and patient. We stayed in a twin private room....

This hotel is located close to Termini station and is within walking distance from the center of Rome. The rooms are clean and comfortable for the price. This along with the fact that the staff is very friendly and the hotel is very quiet makes it great for recharging after a busy Roman day. Our room had a shared bathroom...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.

“If you need a room only to sleep, this is it. Clean and neat and right in the center of town. Next to the Republica Station. The cost is a bit steep nearly 90E for not much. In season time, may be valued. But for sure there will be better options.”
