Liliumhotel has been reviewed by the National Geographic Traveler Magazine and has been inserted in the Eyewitness Travel Guide, which says of us: "On the third floor of a residential building midway between Termini and Via Veneto, Lilium is a charming little Hotel. Each of its small, beautifully decorated rooms is named after a flower and painted to match. The breakfast and sitting rooms are pretty with fresh flowers and colorful Australian songbirds. Excellent staff."

The hotel is nice, room was very small though and could maybe be updated a little but very clean. Towels and linen smelt so fresh and clean ! Breakfast was okay, not a huge amount of choice and no fresh fruit - which if added would be great. Staff were friendly and helpful. WiFi is not great however and the road outside is very noisy but cannot be helped. Good location, not right in the centre which we quite liked. Would recommend this hotel if you don’t mind small rooms which are quite old fashioned.

Hotel is really nice, staff are friendly and helpful and the location is great. It’s on the Edge of town so a little quieter which we really liked. Lots of small places to grab a little bite and coffee nearby. Would recommend mato for a slice of pizza and glass of wine and Faro for a good breakfast.

The hotel wasn’t easy to find and we walked passed it once. The room we were given on the first night was a little noise as it was near the busy road and therefore asked if we could be changed to another room of which they did. The staff were very helpful and welcoming. The breakfast was very nice. The hotel is also quiet closed to some of the landmarks which are in a walkable distance. We would defiantly go back again.

The Lilium was our hotel of choice for a short break in 2018, and we didn't think twice about booking it again for our extended stay in Rome in 2019. It's quirky & quaint; a light & bright hark back to a bygone era, secretly nestled in a grand residential building. All the staff are lovely; especially the guys who seem to do everything (reception, cleaning, breakfast). The lady (who I suspect is the owner, with the adorable dog Gustav) was so incredibly helpful assisting us in changing rooms so we had a firmer bed - nothing was a problem, and we were very appreciative. The double aspect room closest to reception is probably still our favourite - watching the sunset over the bustling streets below; the queue for the gelateria below grow. Not for a light sleeper, but great…

I honestly can't recommend this hotel enough. As a young woman travelling alone I was understandably wary of where I would be staying. Immediately upon entering the hotel I knew I had nothing to worry about. The place is beautiful and very clean. The staff are lovely and attentive and even called my transfer company to double check the return time when I was left without info. The room was much bigger than anticipated as I'd booked a single. It was beautifully decorated with sunflowers painted on the wardrobe and a floral bedspread. The lovely reception lady showed me how to use all of the amenities in the room before leaving and they even left out little Italian biscuits as a welcome treat. I looked forward to breakfast each morning as the view from the breakfast room window…

Stayed here with my husband for 3 nights. On arrival we were greeted by a lovely lady who showed us to our room. The place is spotless and very charming. Bed was very comfortable and room was cleaned daily. Close to most attractions and the metro is only 5 minute walk away. Would definitely return!

Superb boutique hotel, very nice rooms, beutiful furniture and superb terrace at our room. Easy to reach it from Termini Station and close to old center of Rome even by walking. The personal was very kind and breakfast OK.

We thought the location was good, walking distance from Termini and Metro for example, and there were plenty of restaurants nearby. The room was quiet enough and clean, although my wife was disappointed at having no mirror in the main room. I'm not sure it's meant for Brits as there was no coffee or milk in the rooms and breakfast was slices of ham and cheese and natural yogurt. I ate cereal and rice cakes! Plastic cups weren't replaced in the room each day so we bought our own supply. The staff were helpful and friendly.

We stayed three nights, had a bit of a hard time finding it. Italian staff were very friendly. Breakfast was poor, cold omelettes and not a lot of choices. Very noisy as it is located inside an apartment building. The elevator is very old, so be ready to bring your bags up a short flight of stairs before reaching it. Great location though, amazing nearby restaurant, must go whether you stay here or not: Al forno de la Soffitta. Please excuse misspellings.

This hotel was recommended to me and I was looking forward to staying there. I booked what I was sure was a refundable rate, because I knew I might have to cancel. The rate was, in fact, nonrefundable, and the website (at least the English version) is very misleading- I pointed this out to them but they were very unreasonable and refused to refund my money even though I had made a genuine mistake and it as still three weeks before the original dates of my stay. I am now out approximately Euro E250. In this case, I would have been better off booking through an agency than trusting the hotel's website.
