Unusual B&B, it's an apartment in a block with a mixture of residential and businesses. The proprietor doesn't live on the premises and you don't get breakfast served there - instead you get tokens to use at the cafe on the corner. We were a bit disconcered at this arrangement at first, but it turned out to be fine, you...

The b&b it's very well situated, about 5min from termini station. It's a 4 rooms apartment, with private bathroom each one and a little common kitchen. Super clean and economic, not bad breakfast. The host it's absolutely charming, caring and attentive, he recommends and advise you really good and he's available anytime. A very nice experience to spent a weekend...

The owner here is extremely kind and dedicated to service. Really nice price and lots of small freebies such as water, yoghurt and fruit. Room is always very clean when you get back and no complaints are made seemingly regardless of what you do. The area is okay, but the owner will inform you where not to go. There is...

This is a very nice little B&B on a quite side street in Rome. It's not much to look at from the outside but inside it is just beautiful --- not elegant, but beautiful. Our host was one of the kindest men I've ever met. This place is very centrally located. An easy walk from the train station and an...

When I approached the accommodation, I was met by a residential building and an old fashioned cage lift. Although immediately scary, the adventure had begun and I felt as though I had really chosen a hotel that reflected life in Rome. I purposefully look for accommodation that isn't the usual boring modern all inclusive. I like to experience the real...

We stayed at Sweet House Cinzia in May 2015. Run by Chandra, a very helpful and hard working host, it is four rooms in a building near Roma Termini. If seeing Rome on a budget is important to you then Sweet House Cinzia is ideal. If budget isn't your main focus then maybe not. Don't expect luxury, but you will...

Firstly I was a little hesitant to book, the area looks close to Termini (which is supposedly not a great area for tourists) and I`ve never stayed in this type of accomodation before and we usually like breakfast on site. I shouldn`t have worried. I could not hve picked a better place to stay :o) The location is great, not...

Chandra and his assistant make you feel so at home here, and are incredibly helpful. When I arrived, he gave me a map and explained how I could get round the city and which buses/trams/trains to take to see particular attractions. He also helped with dietary restrictions and showed me restaurants to go to, and took the time to give...

What a lovely little B&B right in the centre of Rome! Chandra makes you feel so welcome and will do everything to make sure your stay is a success. From providing tea and coffee, fresh fruit and yogurts, to giving you a detailed map, providing where to visit and where to eat. The decor is very Italian, quaint and traditional....

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.

“I liked room 1. On the front, maybe noisier but worth it to be able to throw open the window in the morning and look down on the hustle and bustle of Rome. Room 3 quieter and with a bath but personally I don`t think as nice a room.”
