Very very poor stay, we stayed for a few nights, the customer service overall was really bad, the front desk person was not approachable or helpful in the slightest. my girlfriend had a really bad fall in the room due to the cleaners not wiping the marble floors properly, this almost resulted in her been taken to the hospital on the second day. Dont take anything offered or ask for anything as this hotel will charge you for everything that they can. I can say that we definitely will not be staying here again and would also recommend that anyone else considering staying in rome does not stay here either.
We've asked for a room with 3 singles beds. They didn't accomplish that and doesn't even have a room with that kind of acomodation. Instead of that they arrange a sofa as a "bed". Why offer and sell something that don't have? The point here is you're paying for something and they offer you something different.
As with most hotels across Europe that are close to a City's main railway station, not the best of area's. We picked the hotel knowing it was a small budget hotel and that's what we got. Value for money and about a 500m walk to the train station. Can't fault the hotel or the staff, you pay for what you get and we were more than happy with that.
Rome was great in June. Hotel Caracciolo was central and the staff friendly especially Mouad at reception. Clean rooms with a/c, comfortable beds. Supermarket nearby for little things/snacks. Would stay there again.
Reasonable prized hotel with a very friendly staff! They were super polite and helped us with everything we needed, for example booking us a table in a restaurant. Reception is open for 24h. The room was clean, they cleaned the room everyday even during holidays. Hotel is a walking distance away from Termini, where you can find shopping, food, etc. It took us 15 minutes walk to Colosseum. Yes, the neighborhood was all graffiti and looked a bit aside at first, but we didn’t find the area bad or unsafe. If we visit Rome again, would definitely stay again.
We stayed in the Hotel Caracciolo for 4 nights. Good breakfast, clean and big rooms, great service. Everything that we wanted and this all for a great price. Location is very good, close to Termini Station. Recommendation for visit.
The hotel has simple and small rooms The hotel's staff were friendly and helpful. Handy for the main train station. Breakfast was adequate but not great. All in all, a decent option for a reasonably priced hotel near Termini.
Do not recommend this hotel. It is about 20-30 minutes away from the nice part of Rome however it is very close to the train station and bus stops that take you to and from the airport for around 10EUR / roundtrip. The rooms is very small, with very flimsy furniture. The bathroom is ok and clean. The wall are very thin so if you or the person sitting in the next room are particularly noisy you/they will hear everything. Better to go for one near the historical city center bearing in mind the 50% minimum price jump.
A pretty little hotel in a grimy part of town. Termini has fantastic transport links but is dirty, full of graffiti and smells like a public toilet. You can see why they lock the front doors at this hotel. Good coffee at breakfast but limited selection of foods. Friendly and helpful staff although I didn't like not being allowed to leave without reception taking the room key. Clean room, good shower and bathroom and a built in safe. Happy with the value for money.
