From the moment we booked our stay at The Independent Suites, managed by The Independent Hotel, the service we received was outstanding. We let the hotel know by email we were arriving on a 06.40am flight and asked if we could leave our bags at Reception until our room was ready, which was fine. However when we arrived they had...

We stayed overnight in the Independent Hotel and we very impressed with the service. All the staff were attentive and very helpful. The roof garden has amazing views over Rome and is a wonderful place for breakfast and drinks at night. On arrival, our room was upgraded and we enjoyed the extra space. It was a great way to enhance...

Great hotel..the most friendly and helpful staff that we have ever encounter. They made the stay more enjoyable. Always ready to answer all our queries. The rooftop restaurant is one of the best place to see the city view. The room is adequate and clean. Thanks for making our Rome vacation a great one.

너무나도 좋은 숙소입니다. 친절하구요 방도 깨끗하고 전망도 좋습니다. 유럽여행간 여러 숙소를 돌아다녔지만 가장 만족도가 높습니다. 추천해요! Today, I checked-in at 2:15 PM. Staff was very kind and explained clearly something that I have to know while I stay here. Also, Staff gave me a manual that is written korean. We were offered room upgrade(two size). So, Wife and I were...

The Hotel is very close to Termini station and all the staffs are so kind. Room condition is very clean and comfortable. And we got a free upgrade for the honeymoon which is so beautiful. Breakfast is great but when you don't have time to have it , you can also ask for the breakfast box. 한국사람들에게 유명하다고해서 찾아왔는데 이유가...

Close to Termini which is handy, about a 20 min walk to the Colosseum, Pantheon, etc.. The highlight was the clean fresh modern rooms and really friendly, helpful staff. The breakfasf was nice and views from the rooftop bar are great.

There was a mix up with Agoda the engine through which I made the reservation. It took about 30 minutes to finalize the reservation due to a combined error of their website and me. The front desk at The Independent Hotel was absolutely wonderful and patient with everything. After it was all sorted out they upgrade us to a suite....

Great space, so close to the train. I was able to walk everywhere and take trains and buses so no issies with not having European car seat. Hotel had crib, suite was perfect and comfy. Roof bar was also a good place to unwind. Very close to restaurants. 25 min walk to Colosseum.

Brilliant value for money. Extremely nice staff. The location is right next to Termini station. The rooms are roomy, neat and super clean. The 8th floor where the terrace is, has an outdoor and indoor seating area with a breathtaking view.

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
