Worst experience I had is with this hotel! They charged me extra for no reason, room is very dirty, shower head is also dirty, I'm even afraid to take shower. Hotel staff was clever enough to charge my account first, and now refusing to give my money back! They charged me same money as other 5 star hotel, I'm very...

The Millyhouse is an acceptable hotel very well situated for a busy weekend of sightseeing in the Eternal City, right by the Termini railway station and within walking distance of must-see sites. You'll need the skills of a detective to find it when you first arrive, but once you do the staff are friendly and gave lots of information on...

We stayed for 6 nights in a heatwave in Rome. The hostel is very secure. It is in a loud tourist area that can throw you when you first arrive. It was lovely to come to the hostel where it is safe because there's a courtyard then an apartment and the room is nice and quiet. The room itself is...

To begin with, when I arrived there I was a bit disappointed, I wasn't informed that this is an apartment with some rooms so I didn't like that much, but after a week there I changed my mind. Firstly, the rooms are really spacey. The staff was really-really friendly and helpful! They made us feel welcome from the very first...

This is a B&B on one of the floors of a building that is conveniently located walking distance from the train station in Rome. But that's just the beginning. What I didn't know upon checking into the very budget friendly Millyhouse was that it was just a few minutes walk from the Coliseum, Palatino, Trevi fountain, Spanish steps, etc etc...

We chose this b&b very last minute as our previous reservation was cancelled (by hotels .com; beware!) and were left with little choice around out original budget for 7 nights. MillyGuest house is ideally located for all popular tourist sites, we used the metro a couple of times but everything is within walking distance- approx 15-20 minutes at a slow...

The property is located within 5min walk from Rome Termini Station and that is great. There is a rather strong immigrant community in this area and some parts of the road don't smell nice (pee!). The owner, Nunzio, was very accommodating towards us and tried his best to oblige even though we had a language barrier. Our toilet was rather...

We stayed in this lodging two nights and we were very disappointed. The room smelled very bad and the kitchen was very dirty. The man who should take care of the place was not nice and he was really dirty. The owner, old madam was nice but we don´t understand how she can keep such housekeeperman there!

We found this place by accident. Men at the train station were asking people if they needed help on a place to stay. They walk you to the home and get a commission, but always ask you how much you want to spend. It worked out for us. Elena is the owner of her b&b and she keeps a clean...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
