We spent a week here and would definitely return. From start to finish, booking and staying with Giovanni was great. The one bedroom apartment is wonderful (large, comfortable and clean c/w kitchen & laundry), located in a lovely area called Prati, minutes from some of the best sites (Vatican & Castello Sant Angelo, Piazza Cavour) and many tasty restaurants. You...

Wow this was just a dream come true, from the moment we first contacted Giovanni to his arrangements for our pickup in Rome. The four of us arrived (2 couples) and were greeted by Giovanni . He gave us an overview of the area restaurants, markets, and nearby sites . Well everything you read on closeness is true, 10-15 mins...

My husband and I rented a one-bedroom apartment at Casa Visconti. It was clean, quiet, comfortable, and well-located. The owner, Giovanni, arranged for a driver to pick us up at the airport and take us to the apartment. Giovanni met us at the apartment and made us feel very welcome. The neighborhood seems very safe. We even walked to restaurants...

Three of us stayed in the apartment. Perfect to spread out and relax at the end of the day. Felt like a safe neighborhood and restaurants, banks, and markets were close by. It was also in walking distance to all the major tourist areas. The apartment is certainly not fancy. So if you are used to upscale lodging, this is...

My family and I wanted a reasonably priced accommodation in Rome, centrally located, and able to sleep five people comfortably. Casa Visconti was the perfect answer. The apartment is actually three separate apartments that are connected to each other – if the doors between them are left open, the apartment is very large and easily accommodates five (or more) people....

All three reviews I agree with. Giovanni was the perfect host. St. Peter flat was so well equipped. We like to have some meals "at home" so it was so good to have brilliant "frutta & verdure"almost next door and a supermercato also minutes away.. Our favourite spot to eat is "La sophita" near the Vatican - close enough to...

Four of us split two portions of Casa Visconti - the San Angelo suite for a wonderful stay in a portion of the Prati neighborhood a couple from Ponte Umberto across the TIber from most of the sites in the city. Walking to Spanish Steps, Trevi, even the Coliseum (we did take cab home). Vatican CIty is very close, and...

We had an excellent stay at Casa Visconti for three nights in April 2013. Giovanni and Paola were a delight to deal with during the booking process and right up to when we left. Romeo, who we met when we arrived in Rome and who did the check-in/out, was very kind and helpful. The apartment is spacious, clean, comfortable, and...

We loved our stay at Casa Visconti - St. Peter in July. The apartment is very well equipped, everything is exactly as described in the website. It is charming, has so much character, it is very comfortable and clean. We stayed with our 2 teenage children (they much appreciated the wi-fi!). It is located in a quiet neighbourhood close to...

Staying in Prati

Neighbourhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the centre, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighbouring Borgo, Prati is a local favourite for its aesthetic organisation and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
