Location was perfect, staff were very friendly and the hotel was clean. However there were a few small things which could have enhanced our experience. My wife wasn't happy about not having a dressing table in the room. The service in the rooftop bar was painfully slow, which considering the prices charged was unacceptable - we cancelled our plans to...

This was an excellent choice for our 4 night stay in Rome. Within walking distance to the coliseum, Forum, Circus Maximus and other sites within the vicinity. The view from the hotel is beautiful. The staff were extremely courteous, friendly and always had smiles on their faces. The breakfast was good. There is something for everyone. We had dinner at...

Great hotel, great location. The problem for me is there are no tea making facilities in the rooms which is very frustrating as I love my tea. Also I would have liked a dressing table and the very poor hairdryer is on the bathroom wall. Apart from that the staff and hotel are lovely the rooms are very spacious and...

Fortyseven Hotel is the perfect traveller's compromise providing good quality accommodation at a fantastic value, right in the heart of Rome. Located approx. 10 minutes' walk from the Colosseum and the Vittoriano monument, and steps away from the famous Bocca della Verita' (Mouth of Truth) and Trastevere area, the first thing you notice about Fortyseven hotel is how understated it...

Spent a long weekend here. The hotel is very central just behind Capitol hill. The interior is modern and stylish. The room was spacious and equipped with high quality furnishing including a Sony flat screen. The bathroom also very clean with decent fittings. Good stay and recommendable.

The Hotel is well-situated, near the colosseum. We were greeted by the lovely Yulia, who'd been the brightest spot on the hotel's staff, and were immediately upgraded to a spacious room with a nice view (though on a loud street...). The room had nice amenities such as bathrobes and (way tiny) slippers, ample towels, nice closet space (wouldn't mind some...

Booked this hotel after the great reviews online and it did not disappoint. The check in was efficient and friendly- we dropped our bags off early and they were moved into our room for when we arrived back. The room was clean and massive, lots of room for hanging up stuff. The bathroom was huge and the free amenities were...

Great location but very loud. We were in the rear side of the hotel and still were disturbed by the traffic on a VERY busy road. Also, there must've been construction in the room next door to us. Sweet staff and decent breakfast.

Staying in Aventine

Neighbourhood Profile
Aventine
Contrary to the chaos of the city, the Aventine is Rome’s oasis. A neighbourhood made up of a patchwork of ancient churches, hidden gardens, private homes and embassies, peace and quiet is top priority and the vibe definitely friends and family. Take a walk around the Aventine and you’ll find a treasure hunt of surprises like the clever little keyhole at the Knights of Malta entrance (the only place you’ll find a line) along with Parco Savello (Giardino degli Aranci) next to the ancient Santa Sabina church. Keep your eyes on the 1960s architecture, several modern buildings are built atop Rome’s original 4th century BC wall.
