Easy walk to most sights. Go early, unless you enjoy standing in very long lines, or hire a guide. Room was clean and of a decent size. Very comfortable beds. And also quiet. Staff quite nice and helpful.

the personnel at the front desk were the best ever! so good, in fact, we gave them a bottle of wine as a present. the room was clean, comfortable and excellent. the maids did a great job cleaning and straightening. only small complaint--vary the music every day. the first five days we heard the same thing over and over again...

We enjoyed our stay at Fortyseven Hotel. The location was excellent, within easy walking distance (10-20 min or less) of the Pantheon, Trevi Fountain, Piazza Venezia and Trastevere. The hotel staff was courteous and helpful. They assisted us with dry cleaning, transportation and dinner recommendations. The hotel roof top bar has a lovely view. The breakfast was also convenient. The...

Had a deluxe room, 3rd floor. Great big space. High tech. Key card opens door, allows room temp, lights, blinds to be used. Must slide key into box at door side. Nice view of ruins across street. Sadly could hear the people next door. But otherwise great room. Robes and slippers supplied. Bed comfy. Nice linens. Nespresso machine in room....

We spent three days in the Hotel 47 at the end of a two week trip through Europe. The location of this hotel is perfect. We were within walking distance to the Coliseum, Forum, Capitoline Hill, and the Pantheon. The ability to walk to these locations was a big bonus for us. We also enjoyed a very good meal (albeit...

My husband and I stayed here from 7-10 April as part of a very long awaited honeymoon (7.5yrs later). Everything about this hotel is fantastic and everything we could've asked for. The staff were friendly and helpful from the moment we stepped through the doors, the hotel is stylish but comfortable and the artwork is impressive, the breakfast is varied,...

In March this year we returned to Roma. Choose this hotel on a random whim and the fact it was close to the river and all things antica. We were upgraded to an executive room, which was nice, excellent Italian style and nice big bed. Big TV, not that I am fluent enough in Italiano to understand the local TV...

This is a super hotel in many many ways - including location, service, the roof terrace and the spacious room. We stayed here for three nights and would recommend it for those on a mini break who want to walk everywhere. The bed was very large and comfy, and we slept really well for the nights we were there. Issues/things...

Great hotel , amazing location with a stunning view from the roof terrace . Most Rome sightseeing attractions like streets of Trastevere or ruins of Palatin are just 10 mins walking . More to say that working staff is very attentive and helpful which is very important when you traveling with kidos . Deffinetely coming back !!!

Staying in Aventine

Neighbourhood Profile
Aventine
Contrary to the chaos of the city, the Aventine is Rome’s oasis. A neighbourhood made up of a patchwork of ancient churches, hidden gardens, private homes and embassies, peace and quiet is top priority and the vibe definitely friends and family. Take a walk around the Aventine and you’ll find a treasure hunt of surprises like the clever little keyhole at the Knights of Malta entrance (the only place you’ll find a line) along with Parco Savello (Giardino degli Aranci) next to the ancient Santa Sabina church. Keep your eyes on the 1960s architecture, several modern buildings are built atop Rome’s original 4th century BC wall.
